Of the 4 choices for the shot timer (30, 45, 60 and 90), is there a general preference among players?
I've always set mine to 90 seconds...rarely do I use even half of that, and neither does my opponent. It's more that the 90 seconds is there just in case you need it...like for a run to the bathroom lol. Or a really tough shot where you might use about 60 seconds.
30 and 45 second times do seem too quick to me...I've played both 60 and 90 but it sure seems like the "default" that players use is 90...right or wrong?
But if there are a lot players who won't accept matches if they see the timer is at 90, hey I will set it to 60. Prefer 90 but that's ok.
I've had a couple of players say the game was "too long" and quit...and they were 9 hole matches so I guess they meant pace of play. But I thought the pace was normal.
Thoughts? I just want to play what most players prefer. Thanks!
