Has something been done to the shot meter this weekend?  Last week then I played I didn't have any problems with it at all.  Now it seems that all of a sudden, then you hit the ball a little to the left or right of the perfect shot line, the ball goes screaming way right or way left.  And I'm not talking way to the right or left of the perfect shot line.  I mean no more than a millimeter.

I initially assumed it was just the wind, but after playing a few rounds today I've determined it ain't the wind.  It almost appears as if the wind has nothing to do with it.  I had 20 mph winds coming directly right to left and when I hit the ball a little to the right of the perfect shot line, the wind didn't even take the ball left!  in fact it ended up going way right of where I was aiming.

Just makes no sense to me.

The wind doesn't have an affect on this game any more. VEM has taken over as a wind substitute. You can read more about VEM and what it is in these two links here.

This game used to have similar mechanics like the real game of golf. VEM has taken all that away and destroyed it. The shot randomness has become to unbearable with this game, as each shot is a crap shoot now. What's more, WGT keeps cranking-up the VEM every week.

All we can do is play it like a video game now. This game has lost all but it's look, which is the only thing that keeps it hanging on. I'm not so sure a new course, and everything in the next product release, would even have a bearing on how people perceive this game.
