WGTadmin:
Since you're encountering these issues we recommend trying the following:
- Trouble shooting steps and system requirements, particularly clearing the browser and Flash cache:
http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/635.aspx
- Close other programs, browser windows and browser tabs
- Have the wgt.com website open but minimized and not displayed
- Play WGT in the original window size, do not maximize it to full screen
- Turn off Reflections, Flag Animation, Background Loading, Avatar rotations, and WGT Lessons in your Options
All of this and maybe try different browsers. Also in the game options, maybe try a lower Flash Quality. Turn off sound affects. Run a program called 'Gamebooster' which stops all the activity on your puter running in backround
I had to do all these things on my old Puter. The new one is more powerful and don't have to do anything now. My meter most of time is pretty good.
My theory about meter stutters is...
When you have meter probs, there is some program/activity doing something in the backround that is using the Puters resources, in conjunction with gameplay, this will cause a Stutter or worse.
I've always said this, meter Problems started when all the Adds and Videos started on Wgt. This was quite a few years ago.
With all the new Courses that have to load more info then you might find, the game is still loading a tree or two when you having your shot. Not forgetting sounds.
