Have Ranked Rounds for tiers been changed?

  I ask, as one guy in our CC, made Tour Master on Sept 25th, but yesterday,  just 27  Rounds later, was promoted to Legend.

  Used to be 100RR from TM to Leg didn't it?

  Winning credits get's you bumped faster 

  Don't know it that is the case?

  50 ranked rounds to Legend. But tournament wins and beating Legends can speed it up.

  Still needs a 61 average though? I've just looked back through his rounds, and excluding the Par 5s, I make it more like 68/69 average over his time as a TM.

  I'm not trying to knock the guy personally, but it seems like there's been a glitch here, and I'm trying to get my head around what's happening.

  Our stroke average is also modified by match play and ready go wins against opponents at a higher tier than us. So those who play those game types and win against higher tier opponents cannot as easily predict when they will 'tier up'.

  My guess is the 9 match play wins, on the same day, against a Legend tier player might have had something to do with it.

  Those MPs lower the average super quick (some accelerator calc WGT).

  What is happening is that you are more worried about everybody else and what they are doing. Have fun, play the game, fet better and you can get where you want to go in this game. Looking through others scores will NOT improve your game. Have fun!

  Ah, OK - thanks; I had no idea that beating a higher tiered player could have SUCH a huge effect on one's average! From 69 down to 61 over 10 games is really going some eh?

  You live and learn :-)

  I don't think he's done himself any favours though - languishing out on the back tees with so little experience must be a real nightmare, and at L85, he's got a long wait for the top grade equipment - feeling a bit sorry for him really.
