    Hello,

The owner of our club, http://www.wgt.com/clubs/home.aspx?id=3778, hasn't been online since May 2012... I know about the new club levels and that we need to be level 5 to add new members (we're 85 at moment), but we need a new manager.

Is there a way to promote someone else as the owner or the club is forever closed for others?

    Thank you!

They won't allow a take over. You either have to leave things as they are or start a new club.

I wonder if this is common.

I joined a club and I was appointed ''tournament director' and the owner praised me for my efforts. The members were hardly active, then the owner went MIA.

I open my own club, and even alone I can at least access all the game options and different courses and challenges.

We had the same thing happen us while back so our good tour legend member got in touch with us all and started a new club thriving since just about to reach level 7 with 94 members.Cheers Paul.

Hopefully your Club Owner will return. Sometimes personal life triumphs online obligations. Worst case scenario is that they do not return and one of your members creates a new club. Much like what DECDEV said.

Typhoon, I thought in my previous club we managed to change owners when the original owner wanted to take a break.

Best thing you can do, is to get as many of the members together as possible, and all quit the CC, and start afresh with a new one. It may seem like a huge upheaval, but it really isn't so bad, and the early levels can be earned very quickly.

We did it a few months ago, and it really was the best move we ever made.

I also know that  THE YORKSHIRE COUNTY GC have just gone down that route too, just a week or two ago, and they too are now thriving.

    Good luck :-)

    Steve

    Hello,

I just found in the CC section of the FAQ:

As a Club owner, you have the ability to invite members to the club, approve all membership requests, remove players from the club, transfer the club ownership to another club member, and close the club entirely.

So, I'll try to reach the owner ask him to transfer ownership to someone else!

    Thank you!

You have about 10 Members that have played this Year. I can make room for those of you wanting to join a stable club. Go to each of those players and give them this link:

    ELFWOOD COUNTRY CLUB

Then, look to the top of the club Homepage to request membership.
