I totally agree with you MJ. The cost of the new clubs for the lower level new players is a joke. In order to get the clubs they need theyw ould have to shell out over $40. Then when they reach the higher levels and move back on the tees they will have to invest even more money on the better clubs that are at least 270 yds. I have been here ,thankfully, long enough to have been able to buy all of my master clubs before the tier changes. Even now at the level i am i would not be able to buy any of the clubs I now have. To the newbies. stick with what you go, because I was able to reach master with just the basic clubs by investing in some of the 12 credit distance balls.

What we are saying bogeybuster is their are far more important things that need fixing than xp drinks and kilts from the last update, and since this update I think the instant replay freeze has been introduced (I never had one before this update, maybe others can confirm if I am right).

Mobile payments were asked for, and the different shot timers are also a good thing.

Everything else is just money grabbing and alienating the players.

Just my opinion but it seems to be in agreement with a lot of others

    My meter is fine...

And all those things you mentioned are to generate revenue.   If you don't want to buy them, it's simple don't.

The months you mention above may be only weeks if you bought some of those energy drinks.

    Cheers

I  understand revenue and making a profit but to ignore your clientele is not good business, also your meter cannot be fine 100%

I walked away from this game, and that's considering I had plenty of credits and the best clubs one could acquire at the time.

I still visit the forums hoping that WGT substantially improves their product, remove it from this silly BETA designation, and ideally move off the Flash platform.

This game had such a bright future when it started as the simple CTTH game back in 07.  Yes, there has been much progress since then, but there still exists many underlying issues that have seen little to no progress.   Expecting a good portion of would be customers to tweak their systems to get this game to run acceptably (notice I didn't say perfectly) is generally not a good policy to keep potential paying customers.

It sucks for me as I dislike the TW games.   WGT had so much potential, and I'd hate to see them fail.   I'd never thought I'd say this about any software company (especially with my own personal experiences), but I hope they get bought out by a company that can put the proper resources into this game and take this game to the next level.

"Maybe they should reduce the adding of resources because of ads running in the background"? Crazyman2?

Just go to the buy credit page while playing. No ads there.

And honestly so many of the complaints are so rehashed. I've followed others helpful points and have virtually no meter issues. Why pay someone to be here virtually for those too lazy to hunt down these tips?

not to speak for b0gey, but i didn't see anywhere in this thread where he said everything has been fixed. seems to me he is focusing on the positive things, and probably, like the rest of us, hoping the other issues are resolved soon as well. in the mean time, it is progress, which is encouraging.

by the way, when i upgraded to a better computer and internet connection, it all but solved my meter issues. i get em once in a while [usu during heavy internet usage], so i simply swing and release, and the second swing is smooth 99% of the time.

just because cotton candy avatars, drinks and ghost balls are in the pro shop [still no beer!], doesn't mean everything else is being ignored. if you have the patience to stick around in hopes of being witness to new courses, game play improvements -  while looking at the "goodies" as extras [as opposed to being the focus INSTEAD of other fixes], then you just might enjoy the game more.

i too, am frustrated by the length of time it takes for some of the fixes to be implemented [replay freeze for example - 4 days. multiplayer quit - 10 days.], but since i am not fully aware of all that is involved in these things, i resign to posting, waiting, hoping. in the mean time, i am trying to be patient in hopes that the other fixes and enhancements are a "work in progress"....

my impatience for no beer in the pro shop is wearing VERY thin though!
