i have really been getting into Joe Bonamassa lately ...
I was diggin' Joe on 'Bloodline's original CD back in the 90s. I played it for over a year strait.
I think 'Smokin' Joe was about 17 or 18 years old at the time. Now he's awarded one of the top in his class.
Interesting enough, he was inspired mainly from Clapton's performance with one of my most influential albums of my musical upbringing; the Last Waltz, where Eric played 'Further Up The Road'. Later on in life, Joe actually go to perform the song w/ Clapton, live in concert.
Bloodline was an American blues rock band composed of the sons of several well-known rock musicians. It was also guitarist Joe Bonamassa's first band (he was billed as "Smokin' Joe Bonamassa").
Bloodline 1994 and released one self-titled album. The group's members were drummer Erin Davis (son of Miles Davis), rhythm guitarist Waylon Krieger (son of Robby Krieger), and bassist and lead vocalist Berry Oakley, Jr. (son of Berry Oakley),
Warren Haynes made a guest appearance on the album. The record produced one hit single, "Stone Cold Hearted", which reached No. 32 on the Billboard
