105 days after we first saw that the CC Bank was "coming soon" which followed 6 months of WGT moderators saying a CC Bank was a good idea. We are closing in on "when coming soon" should mean either "here it is" OR "sorry we are late it WILL be out by ____"
Or at least: "This is the way we intend it to work - what do you think?"
The CC Bank is kind of like the CC Directors with no powers "yet." Both are very important to Country Clubs but does nothing for the bottom line.
Two of my programmer friends told me that with one simple idea I had and passed on to WGT they could program a CC Bank in less than 2 days. One of them is a WGT player as well so he knows something about the workings of the site.
The simple idea:
1) Make a dummy player that is a member of each CC over say level 10.
2) Name the dummy player (Name of your CC here)-Bank
3) Take away all attributes of the dummy account other than purchasing items in the Pro Shop and (this is new) gifting credits to other CC members and add the ability to accept credits to the dummy account
4) Add a button that says [DONATE] to the Bank on the CC Bank Page so CC members can donate
5) Add a button that shows up on the owner (and specified directors pages only) that says [DISTRIBUTE] which allows the dummy account to do one of 2 things: 1) shopping at the Pro Shop for gifts or 2) sending credits as a gift
6) Monitor and post all transactions both into and out of the dummy account in the CC Homepage (where it says coming soon)
WGT This has been in the pipeline for almost 9 months now. Any idea when we will see it?
