I was having a perfect round in Kiwah back 9 tourney, had birdied the first 5 holes, then on the 6th i pressed what i thought would land on ding, only for meter to skip and land past draw box, hence slicing my shot and loosing a brand new legend ball, and ruining my round having to double bogey.

All other golf games have nice smooth meters, so it must be the fact they want our balls back! especially at $1.55 a pop.

WGT if you want to steal my balls back i don't mind at all, and if you want to make the meter skip because my cpu is to blame (top spec). BUT ONLY IN GAMES THAT ARE NOT TOURNAMENT ONES THANKS!

When will you  people learn. 95% of meter skips and lags and such are directly related to YOUR PC not WGT. If it were WGT then we would all have meter issues and I for one have very very few. Why? Because I run a very clean machine. I played many tournament rounds in the past 2 days and had exactly 1 meter spike. And that was because my antivirus program started it's weekly scan. When my antivirus program first starts I do get a spike but it settles down almost immediately. I also run Gamebooster 2 and Leartrix Latency Fix. Gamebooster 2 disables almost all programs and services that are not necessary for my pc to run. Also which browser you use has a huge impact on how well flash player functions in the game. For the past 2 weeks I have been using Google Chrome Iron and it is the best for this game. It is a stripped down version of Chrome and works really well with flash. And by all means keep your video drivers updated. They change almost weekly now. My nvidia drivers have been updated 3 times this month so far. Or I should say last month now as it is November now.

All those things you mention there game booster etc, etc, i allready use, exept i find mozzilla runs better than google chrome (meter skiped more with google chrome than mozzilla), have quad core cpu (which i sometimes tune to single core when u.s.a all come online, another factor to the meter lag, but playing in single core will smooth it out), high end graphics card..so don't tell me its my cpu, because i can play on my less quality laptop with no graphics card and its exactly the same!.  My internet speed is one of the fastest in country so dont blame ME! Majority of people complain about this issue, most with higher specs cpu's than i have (and i thought mine was good), your one of the only ones i think that DOES have a smooth meter all the time.

When i play in the morning everything is fine, exept for the odd one or 2 skips , but come afternoon when all america go onlne, thats when it starts to go worse.

How can you explain every other golf game i play online has a smooth meter, but this skips 2 or 3 out of every 10 times on a good day?

I have a very clean machine (less than a year old)  that has never had a virus and is above all specs, yet get spikes or freezes well  over 10% (sometimes 20%) of shots since Sept update.

Like Chris, I've tried everything imaginable with no positive results.  My machine runs EVERY other game or application without the first issue. So why not WGT?  Simple answer is Flash can't process the load on far too many systems.

The fact is this game is not compatible for all machines even though they are above WGT suggested specs.  Last summer and early fall we seldom had mention of extreme meter issues in the forum.  Since last November the number has been growing at an alarming rate.  So yes, a large part of the problems stem from our machines but WGT has to take some responsibility and find a way to make the game run smoothly on a higher percentage of computers if they want to achieve long term sustainability.

i noticed it getting worse after the BLITZ update when it was first introduced, before then it was relatively o.k, but today it is worse than i've seen in ages. Nearly every other shot i slice due to the damn meter today.

If it makes you feel any better Chris, I just played the Full 18 STA Ready Go and had a total of 24 spikes or freezes causing meter misses greater than 5 pix each side of center.  Have played most of the day with the usual 2 or so per nine but 24!

But at least I got more experience points for enduring a horrible round than the one I played earlier with 2 eagles on 18 holes.  LOL  Gotta love the brilliant mind that derived a system to reward poor play, but I guess it does help tame the fury of a meter fked round.

Hopefully they'll adjust blitz scoring to be consistent with XP earned in stroke play and match play.  The farther you get from the pin the more points you accrue instead of the exponential reward points gained from actually hitting shots within 10 feet.
