Tried to make my match with Dougiewaugh happen tonight but he said it was too late for him.....we have tough time difference to schedule with. Will try again tomorrow.

Was up early and manged to catch Cappiest before he went to bed.  As you will see from the scorecard below, it was a pretty routine victory for him as I didn't manage to win a hole and he won 3up.

Even when he was 'metered' into pretty thick rough at the 16th, he got out and played his third to about 2 feet (he was obviously very keen to get to his bed), which was good enough for the half and the match.  Well played Capp and good luck for the rest of the competition.

Fortesque99 got up 2&1 over Daskino.

Not the greatest quality golf - i won the 15th with a bogey... but got there in the end thanks to my putter being a bit warmer than Luciano's.

A very cold putter, according to my awful putts at #14 (short enough to scream) and #15 (what a disaster). Not to mention the #11 par-putt from 5 feet.

Great match, Shane, with some really brilliant shots of yours: the up and down at #10 and the scrambling one at #16. The #14 birdie, too.

And the final birdie at #17, with all the pressure after mine.

It was a great pleasure, good luck for the rest of the tournament :)

Here's the card and quick recap for my match with lvietri:

I grabbed a 2up lead after lou missed a short birdie putt on 10 and found the rough then bunker on 11 - he pulled it back with a great bunker shot on 12.

I went 2up again on 13 after lou caught a flyer with his 3rd shot and went 25ft past the hole, i made birdie. Lou pulled it back again on 14 with a great t-shot to 4ft for his birdie and he squared the match up with a par on 15, after my second sailed halfway up the green, leaving that nice easy downhill putt!

Lou gifted it straight back on 16 though, missing a 5ft putt for par, 17 and 18 were both halved

I think i was lucky to catch Lou cold!

Had a little glitch on #13, putting from the fringe ...made the stroke ball never moved.

Fun match, thank you Neil !

An early Christmas present for Paulmcm (who played a very solid game).  But for an easy 6 footer on 10 that I missed and a 5 footer on 16 .. i would have been playing Cappiest instead of you Paul ....

Oh well ... to quote Doris Day (or was it Iconian .. i always get the 2 confused) .. Que Sera Sera.

    :)
