The game needs a better way to practice putting.

The "blitz" challenge is not really an effective tool at improving your putting.  Setting up putts of certain lengths  during practice rounds is tedious and once you make it, can not be "mulliganed" back.

I would suggest the designers create a practice green with 9 hole locations (or more).  I should be able to chose the speed of the greens and even a desired length range to practice (like 10-12').  I could request 10-20-50 random attempts at the different pin locations.  I could mulligan or even play a "putting game" around the green (putt from one hole to another).

To create a green would be much easier than a new course and the process of selecting lengths, speed and attempts is relatively easy in programming.

Putting is one of the hardest parts of this game to master and what truly separates the good from the great players.  We need a better way to practice.

I would love to see a practice green and a driving range for that matter, I would transfer the ability to invite players to the practice green or range with you that exists for the courses. As long as this game has been around I'm sure there's been a request at some point. Would love to see it!

This would be a great idea for WGT to take on, a player could try different clubs (woods) on a driving range before buying them. As it is now you're going  to a course and hoping for the best that you have made the right choice buying the club. As stated before a practice green would help a lot, especially new players to read the greens and enjoy sinking a nice long putt once they have gotten use to the speed of a green.

With the mulligan feature a player can practice shots a number of times.  Can also spend one whole round practicing.  We also offer rentals so a player could take that out on a practice round and try the club.  For those reasons a practice green or driving range is not something coming anytime soon.

As stated in my original post, the mulligan feature doesn't really help with putting.  Especially 10-15' (which I want to make 50% of the time).

Is there any way the game could have the mulligan feature AFTER you sink the putt?

Could that be implemented easily into the code?

While it sounds easy in theory I don't think it is that simple to implement that kind of feature within the code. A practice green would be great however to assist me in my terrible putts.

    Very good idea, deljzc

Such a putting green and also a driving range would be very fine.

And WGT: Please dont tell us ist not possible for you to create such things and give them to us. We all know that it is easy to do for you, if you just WANT to do.

With the mulligans feature in practice rounds, you can do all you'd need to on a practice green and more.

WGT can focus on more important things, like new courses and such.

This is only partially true, because on a putting green you CHOOSE your distance, conditions, and so, while with mulligan on a standard course, you just repeat and repeat what your approach shot created for you. And having to repeat the approach shot dozens of time to be on the right spot it's just a wast of time, if you have only so much time to spend and you'd like to practice putting.
