I just upgraded my system and since then the game is stuttering badly. Not just the meter...all animations are jerky and the swing meter is almost unusable. This is obviously not a WGT problem, at this point, as my old XP / IE8 system was so smooth when playing. I upgraded the motherboard CPU, OS to Windows 7 64 bit and IE to IE 10.

If any members have a clue what I can try to improve the smoothness of the graphics...especially any who have gone through a similar upgrade and found answers...I would like to hear from you.

So far, I have tried all the in game and Flash player settings with no change. I tried a suggestion to set the IE affinity to only 1 CPU and all that did was lose the upper header (where the menu button resides) while in game screen.

Have a watch, then decide if you want to make these changes.

Thanks ZioMio...most of what was mentioned I tried and it made no difference. Important to note that when reviewing my "performance" monitor, as mentioned on the last part of the video, I am straight lined across the board. This seems to indicate that it is not a problem with my computer doing "other" work?

I'll keep looking. I should note that Firefox didn't improve the stutters...at all.

Are you hard wired to the internet or off a wifi connection?

Neither of those make a diff, Luigi. The Flash version would, though, but before you get to screwing around with that Vicii, take a look at your task manager and see if you can spot something amiss. Right click on the quick launch bar to get there. Take a look at the performance tab and see if there's too much activity going on. If there is you have to figure out what's causing it.

If you're OK there then look at finding a Flash version that works with whatever browser you're using. If you go changing Flash versions you need to use the Flash uninstaller before changing versions.

I have your setup and what works for me is the Comodo Dragon browser-dedicated to the game-with Flash version 11.9.900. I just bought a backup laptop and had the same issue when setting it up to play and it was the Flash version that comes with CD. Switched it out and both laptops are the same now.

I'm hardwired to my router...always have been. I might not have been clear Jim...I opened task manager and I show no weird activity, that's what I meant by "straight lined"...no large resource usage, memory is flat lined at a minimum usage.

How do you find different versions of Flash?

Good link, that's exactly where I went but make sure you follow what they say about uninstalling. Also, disable any automatic Flash updates when you get it right.

I'm using the latest Flash version (just installed the latest at my end) 15.0.0.189

Meter is smoother than a babies bottom....lol except for the odd overshoot of ding, which is annoying...lol

What I noticed when getting my new puter,  from XP to Windows 8.1, the old browser i was using (fox) was terrible to use as in meter jumping....  so I tried different browsers which I still have loaded in the system

IE was shocking..  Fox was very jumpy... Chrome was ok, but fast and the occasional skip. Comodo was perfect.   I'm sounding like Goldilocks now...lol

Quite a few people are using Maxthon ....  but I think that doesn't have the Adblock feature ( I might be wrong there)

Thank you Mantis. If I read this correctly you say you are using Comodo with Flash version 15.0.0.189 and it is the best and very smooth?
