Want to run an established CC?

  I'm the owner of the Golden Beaver Golf & Country Club. We're a 50 cap club that's been around since May 2013. We're a friendly and relaxed club and in always in search of that balance between social interaction and competitive drive.

  We have a fully stocked club forum, a good website, a fantastic tournament format, a chat utility to keep members connected in and out of game and lots more besides.

  Basically I've built everything myself from scratch and been running the club and doing everything almost single-handedly which is a hell of a lot of a work for one person. Though I 've had huge appreciation from our key members, I've decided to take a back seat so I can give more time to other things and allow myself time to focus more on the website and playing.

  Unfortunately the one thing it's hard to find is good members that are both active and interactive.

  Now we have an opportunity for someone to have a go at running our club. The person/people we're looking for should get a feel for what are club is about and be committed to helping take it forward.

  If you think you have what it takes to run a successful club we want to give you that opportunity. You will be able to recruit members, create tournaments, implement ideas and delegate duties as you see fit. After 1 month if things are going well you'll be made an officer at the club. If things go really well (down the line) I plan to transfer ownership!

  Of course it's a big responsibility so experience will be considered and references will be required.

  Good luck PR - been there myself so know exactly what you are talking about. 

  I would love to step in but do not have the time available and, like you, have decided to take a back seat on CC life. Am very happy that I have now found a well run CC where the owner and his assistants do a great job (so that I don't have to...).

  Really hope you find the right person and I admire the way you are trying to keep the CC going in the way the members have accustomed.

  Still looking for some help if anyone with experience is interested?

  Ideally you will be a well organized individual who places an emphasis on making things work, good English, good at working with data, good leadership skills, good social skills and the desire to build up a community within our club.

  Yes it takes a lot to run a good Country Club! What we have is close to perfection but we just need someone who has more time on their hands to relieve me from doing all the work by jumping on board, getting a feel for the club and helping us move forward.

  There are many players who have told me how great they think they are and about the good ideas they've had (many of which turn out to be bad ideas). Unfortunately this has been their over-inflated ego speaking and not their ability to manage or run a CC.

  If you naturally have the right skill set and want to belong to a club where you are starting at the top and want to learn about our club then we really want to hear from you.

  Ours is a very friendly and inviting club. We just need more good and willing members to contribute.

  you have 3 directors who must understand the ethos of your club; all my directors are capable of running mine so why not use yours

  Hi Snakeyes,

  All of mine understand the ethos and are an asset to my club but it takes more than understanding to run a club. Before coming to the main forum I posted a request within my club. Two of my officers had good reasons to decline and I didn't hear from the 3rd. I don't want to coerce anyone into doing something they don't want to do and not everyone has the time or skills to run a club.

  Up until now I've been doing everything in my club because I haven't had any help. I've been committed to supporting the club and running it all for my members since I started it. The person getting involved here will have my assistance so they don't get overwhelmed. They can also bring in friends and delegate duties. I don't care whether it's someone from inside or outside the club, my main focus is on getting the right person/people who can be shown the ropes, adapt to the club and then left to it.

  You'll know as owner of a CC it's a responsibility but it's also rewarding . If I had more time on my hands I would carry on as I have been but other things require my time that are more important than WGT.
