    I have the level 19 Taylormade  Spider.  Been with it for a good long while, 2 years.
    I think I'm a fairly good putter but regularly 2 putt holes missing the cup by inches.  So think a putter with a little more precision can knock 5 to 10 strokes off my scores.  Have rented both and they seem very similar.  What Say You?

    They are both good putters - but 5-10 strokes a round seems a little ambitious.

    Transitions are important as progression takes place. Both putters are proven great. The L-70 Versa is used by many L-96+ players. The L-96 Versa is considered in majority to be the best of the best putters. The transition from L-70 to L-96 Versa is a seamless and slight improvement. The transition from the L-92 Ghost to L-96 Versa is troublesome.

    Go with the L-70 Versa with an eye fixated upon the L-96  ;-}

    Also consider the lvl. 77 nike putter very good for the price and the 50 ft scale seems better to me than the 60 on the versa  for putts in the 10 -30 ft. range.

    The balance attribute is going to do as much for this as the precision does. Balance is the putter's tendency to hold a line, particularly on longer putts and it sounds like your putts are wandering off the line.

    IMO, going to that Versa is a great move and would be willing to bet you see an immediate difference. I have the 97 version and swear by it.  :-)

    It did for me when I switched from the 92 Ghost. The 97 Versa had another .5 each in the balance and precision and the 10+ foot putts improved immediately.  :-)

    I made a switch from nike 77 to 70 versa , I did notice the 0.5 extra balance on long breaking putts.

    Highly recommend the 70 versa , slower meter than the ghost is another bonus

    The 97 Versa

     The good news is, it is at L-96 not L-97 --- You can get it many months earlier ;-}
