  Is there a way to choose to remove the flag from the cup?  I frequently hit the flagstick on shots that I feel should fall into the cup.

  You can manually remove it by going to the top right corner and clicking on the Flag icon. This will remove the flagstick.

  Additional info:

  1) On putts from the green, the flag will be removed automatically - the only trustful action of the "Caddie".

  2) In replays from off-green, it's impossible to say if the flag was removed.

  3. The flag has to be removed before the shot.

  Note: When on the putting green, the flag stick is not actually in the hole, though it is shown, so we don't have to remove it so we don't violate the RoG vis-a-vis putting and hitting the flag stick.

  It can be a bugger...I haven't looked in a long time but know I have about 600-700+ "hits the flagstick"  registered. I have recently started removing it, and truly wonder if I have/can make more hole-ins by leaving the flag in the hole. I don't remember even one shot going in, after many, many tries, by pulling the flag out. No kidding. ;-}
