Pretty standard. All the 4.5 precision 3wds regularly go up to 9 yards off line. They are all a lottery.

Well the only thing I can say about that is what Liz69 said about those balls...

**@#*** *$** in the water with them.

Ya though, no real reasonable explanation for that going in the water that I can see. That was kinda crazy. A dinged shot and it pushes against the wind? What little of it there was.

The obvious answer is you haven't cleared your cache, installed the best flash version for that day of the week, you didn't sacrifice the correct number of chickens and goats in the correct order and you're a lousy player. It has nothing to do with WGT.

The Precision of a club sets the size of the VEM circle it has.

Some dinged shots will land in the middle of the Precision circle, some will land to the left and some will land to the right.

That shot landed out at the right edge of it's VEM circle.

    WGTniv:
    The game is pretty simple.

    Precision controls your accuracy.

Imagine it's like a circle that surrounds the flagstick when you aim at it.  The size of that circle is related to the precision rating.  The higher the rating the smaller the circle.

Your ball can land anywhere in the circle on a dinged shot (left or right, long or short).

It will ALWAYS land in the circle on a ding shot, though sometimes it may land in the center of the circle and sometimes it may land on the very outer edge or anywhere in between those two points.

Soooo that 3wd has a circle of deviation equal to 48ft? I find that a little hard to believe. I mean you could park a tractor trailer in that.

I just had a shot on the same hole with the same result. I had the marker right on the flag and dinged the shot. If anything, it should have went to the left of the flag. What a crock...

probably closer to 20 ft in diameter if we use fmagnets' number of 9 ft for radius.  it would look like pic below (circle was eyeballed, not measured carefully... others can have some fun with that) and seems reasonable given some of the precision tests elsewhere in the forum for irons and drivers. the wind at 1-3 and 45 deg may or may not affect a given individual shot.  -Keith

    Agreed.

The circles of those 4.5 prec clubs used to be more like 6 or 7 yards in one direction. Now, since the BB have come out, its now 9 or maybe even 10. That's retarded considering they are the highest price 3wds out there. So you pay more to get more deviation, sounds back asswards to me.

Isn't it convenient that the deviation opted to go right against the slight crosswind someone pointed out and into the water. My guess, since I know the person playing, is that was the 500Cr F9 Congo RG. Again isn't it interesting that  plop the ball goes. Parring that hole in that RG is catastrophic against the people playing in that, so that one shot pretty much destroyed the round.

I don't expect any of the 3wds to drop inside 10ft every time, and if it deviates its nice if it at least lands somewhere on or near the green and gives me a chance to putt or pitch for bird or eagle.

I know Jo and he doesn't expect that shot to drop on top of the hole for a tap in eagle just cuz he dinged it, but this deviation is just stupid and its the kind of stuff that drives people away.
