Hi all, I'm about to turn Tour Master and I was wondering if a gear upgrade would be suitable at this point. Here my current equipment:

    -  Driver: Ping G20 (Lvl 58)

    - 3W: Ping G20 (Lvl 58)

    - Irons: Ping G20 (Lvl 59)

    - Wedges: TM Z Satin 54, 60, 64 (Lvl 39)

    - Putter: TM Daytona Rossa (Lvl 55)

    - Balls: WGT Tour SD

    Any advice? Thx

Lvl 79 sldr will get you some xtra yards off tee but you're not playing from back tee's yet, maybe a better ball if you don't mind the cost. Not to offend players doing well with cheaper balls, for me being able to hold the greens was huge. Most players will not get great results with those balls, it's possible but difficult.

    +1 to thunder really.

Clubs you have are ample, and so distance is not the issue.

I do think you would have more fun with a better ball to slow that meter especially.  When looking at cost bear in mind durability which can get over looked.

    Cheers and happy hitting.

maybe the level 77 Nike putter. It is much more forgiving than the Rossa and has a slower meter. Also it has much better balance.

You will be pleased & happy if your bag contains:

The SLDR L-79 Driver, the Versa L-70 putter (very widely believed & agreed to be the 2nd finest putter at wgt) & better balls.  ;-}  ~ SP ~

Once you do the above , then work on your short game .

G.I.R. 71.78% more practice rounds needed

Avg. to pin 17 ft.  this is what you really need to focus on .

Learn the punch and flop shot with your wedges to get closer to the pin . A good ball to try is the Srixon 11+ at only 180 credits a sleeve . If you decide on a set of irons with a little more bite , then try the 79+ Rocketbladez . Hope this helps :-)

IMO, you have exactly what you need to get to Legend. Stick with them and learn them inside and out. The only difference between what you have and what I had until Legend was I carried a 4th wedge instead of the 3W and had the TM driver. Even used the same ball.

When you get to Legend and have to play from the back tees you'll see what needs to change-a longer driver and put the 3W back. In the meantime you're playing basically driver/wedge golf and a 4th wedge will really come into play a lot more than the 3W does. That Rossa putter was the run away favorite for a lot of players, even to this day.

"IMO, you have exactly what you need to get to Legend", i'll second that.

You can consider the L79 SLDR driver, since you will need at longer driver later anyways.

The Versa L70 putter is really great, but your current Rossa is great too.

Next purchase could be the L85 Nike irons which again will last a very long time.

Wedges are fine for now, specially the 64 is a gem

Stay with the WGT Tour SD ball ( i still use the WGT Tour SD as Legend), if you can manage the meter, and use the money you save to upgrade your equipment.

    Just my 2c

    Spot on Vinnie

You will only need new gear when you get to legend.

You could try asking the santas for some upgrades

    YJ (he loves those Dodgers! not)  is correct about the Rossa...it is one of the great putters here...I used it for a long time. I have zero gifts as a putter :-{ and require every ounce of help I can get. When I went to the L-70 Versa, I started making more putts. I tried several other styles, but no dice...back to Versa. I now use the L-96 Versa and I make more putts than ever. By going to the L-70 Versa, you will be staged and ready for the "Big Daddy" Versa at level 96....in my never humble opinion. :-}
