Hi, I'm presently turn pro. I play strokeplay and my average not descend. I chose the best 9 hole by 5 back and I played with shots -4 almost perfect. Why has not my average down? And what does it take for a mounted level? Thank you to answer me and thank you very much for your reply last time. JF

    Hello.

When you advance in tiers you have to play all your required ranked games again. This will incorporate all your games instead of just your best scores. Once those are done you will notice your average lowering again as it will shave off any bad scores and replace them with the lower ones.

The Par 3 and Par 5 courses do not count towards your average.

Your last rounds of 47, 45 and 40 translate (are doubled) to 94, 90, 80. These would not reduce your average.

The extremely deviating scores of the Par5 and Par3 courses would mess up the averages. This is why they do not count in (Bo3, Bo5, BAN (Bandon)).

Use the other courses with Par values between 60 and 80 to influence your average ;)

The threshold for Master is 67.00 average, and a minimum of 25 rounds on the mentioned courses must be played.

I think the rounds you mention were on the best of par 5 and rounds on that course (or the par 3 courses) don't count toward your average.

Your ave looks relatively easy to work out to me, sine you turned tour pro you have played ten rounds that count to your average.  On the four of these that were 9 holes you scored  33, 40, 39 and 38 giving 150 or 300 strokes net (18 holes).  The 18 hole rounds scored 67, 73, 70, 75, 79 and 72 = 436.  300+436=736/10=73.60

It is also worth remembering it is the actual score not how many under par that affects your average, so -2 where the par for 9 holes is 34 will drop your average more than -3 where it's 36.
