don't know if you mean an increase in meter speed or stutter. If stutter: assuming you recently changed your OS to W8 or got a new machine with W8 the most likely culprit is bloated software that is using more resources. I use W8 and Maxthon browser... I am not 100% stutter free but can fix by shutting down background programs and restarting browser in client window only. -Keith

Think he means that the click is not being registered exactly when he makes it and the meter goes past the ding mark when he thinks he clicked it early enough. If that is what you mean a good thing to try is get a good quality gaming mouse that has an adjustable polling rate and set it at the highest setting. My Razer Death Adder has 3 polling rates 125 500 and 1000. The higher the polling rate is set the quicker the mouse clicks are registered. I have it set to 1000 and for the most part my clicks are registered instantly. This is on a Windows 8.1 system

excellent tip! I have a generic wired mouse that I thought was sufficient.... but maybe it's not and I will now check its specs. there's a remote hope that my horribly late missed dings are not due to encroaching old age. -Keith

90% of my late missed dings are for that very reason. These almost 69 year old reflexes have seen better days. The other 10% are from brain farts where I just don't pay attention to the meter until it's almost past the ding and then still try to click it when I should just let it go and try again.
yes thats right, i mean i click and then meter and keeps going past the ding.
not gotta stutter or a slow finger..lol
so basically ive gotta try a new search engine or buy a mouse?
thanks for ya help guys
