Happy New Year everyone. I hope you all are getting ready to celebrate the New Year.
What I would like to see in 2015 from WGT is an improvement to the Forum Search Feature. The Search Feature is a fantastic tool here in the Forums. And to be quite honest, it does not even need improving... it works great. I would like to see the Search Box ENLARGED and put somewhere NEAR THE TOP CENTER of the Forum Page.
Today, more so than others is a perfect example of WHY this should be done. Time and time again, members come to the Main Forums again simply start a new Thread with their question or comments. Maybe the design team could place the Search Box BEFORE the Write A NEW POST button.
Another possible solution would be to Add/Create a Search Page. When a member clicks the link to go to the Forums, maybe the design team could Add/Create a Search Page that appears BEFORE going to the Main Forums. This Search Page could ask the member if they would like to Search for a Specific Topic OR Proceed to the Main Forums.
With numerous posts regarding the SAME topic, I get the feeling the majority of the members that use the Main Forums DO NOT know about the Search Feature. Well, either that or they are simply TOO LAZY to use the current Search Feature. But I will save that for another post.
It can be very frustrating when using the Forums, trying to answer questions and whatnot, when there are multiple Same Topic threads being posted.
Any thoughts/opinions from other members would be greatly appreciated.
