MATCH B :: note amendment to start time since original post ::  the suggested time was too early for Dave, so I'm pushing it back 2hrs to 3pm UTC (7am WGT time)

Your foursome could play weekdays or weekends, but with Devon's post saying he has all of Saturday off, let's try for that first day. You have a wide overlapping block of time, between 1pm-7pm UTC (5am-11am WGT time). But to avoid overlapping with another match, please schedule for Saturday 1/31 at 1pm UTC (5am WGT time) 3pm UTC (7am WGT time).

Devon (Devonnnnn): your 11:30am local time.  (the spreadsheet can't show 1/2hr increments)

Dave (DaveDwingdale): your 10am local time.

Konrad (KonradOse): your  4pm local time.

Saurabh (Saurabh08): your  8pm local time.

    This should work for us.

Thanks. I'm gonna message Dave and just see if that works for him too

    Corwyn:

    Thanks for the support Cerino!

I just know from our TIO experiences together you tend to pour yourself into the Tournies to an extreme. :)))

BigKnight & Dave (DaveDwingdale ): your 12:30pm 1pm local time.

Corwyn: your 9:30am 10am local time.

Corwyn may do a write up, but if you want to know how Bigknight and I (USA) made out against Corwyn and emmalinks (ROW) all you really need to see is this replay

MATCH D ::  BigKnight & DaveDwingdale   vs        emmalinks & Corwyn

This match finished 20 mins ago 45 mins ago after a snafu start with my internet going down. Thanks for your patience everyone. (Perhaps it was just having another browser window open for the Chatzy Room that did it. Everything was fine after I exited there.)

I see from the Chatzy record (still up there) that Dave was recording so you can follow that when it's posted. (Edit: and here it is in the next post! Thanks Dave!)

#1 wind 18@430 - we shared pars. only BK (30ft away) and C found the green after 4 good tee shots. C came closest from 27ft (but all agreed it would have been unjust for anything other than a shared hole after the disconnect). AS

#2 big R-L wind @900. DD went left into rough and could only play for fat of the green, BK got lucky bouncing through right rough. Em had tough lie and went long left, but her 35ft putt looked in all the way, getting desperately unlucky lip-out. C had best spot off tee but came up well short and misread 14ft try. BK missed from 18ft short right. Still AS.

#3 strong 11:00 wind. DD knocked it to 9ft pin-high left, BK followed 4ft pin-high right. C had slight mishit but probly not enough distance anyway and careened off bank of rough just short of pin, went right through to hideous lie by back bunker and took two to find the green for bogey... but that was all irrelevant after Em pulled off the shot of the tournament, a slam-dunk Hole-in-One!!! (see the replay on her profileROW 1UP

#4 wind 17@2:30. Em went first opting for 3W found fairway but was very short and blocked out; her 2nd hit the tree and she was out of the hole. BK and DD took the Driver route but ran into rough. C took same route and held fwy. His 2nd went to 6yds below, followed by BK 7 yards below right. DD played super 2nd 2 yards past but left a slippery 6 footer. Everyone else missed, BK very unluckily with big lip-out with too much pace. DD's putt slid by. ROW remained 1UP.

#5 tough tailwind @10:45. DD hit 2nd set of trees but found 25-30% rough. Others all ran through fairway. C only one to find green getting this 9 iron to sit 6ft above the hole. Others all pitched from short left around the bunker, Em getting closest with a great effort. C studied putt hard as it showed different break from each side and ended up trickling it down into the hole for crucial birdie. ROW 2 UP

#6 R-L wind@800 - DD unlucky to just catch left rough, and fly through green with 2nd. Fabulous pitch back almost went in. C played safely for big part of green, and then came incredibly close with 30ft putt, last-gasp lip-out. Em had gone long but her attempt from 40-odd feet also came incredibly close. Just when it looked certain that USA would pull one back, BK couldn't convert from 12ft after excellent long left approach. ROW still 2 UP

#7 great L-R wind@ 1:30. C pulled tee shot slightly into left bunker. BK ran through the back, Em reached top level and it just held back of green, ditto Dave. C escaped safely on, but couldn't convert 22ft birdie try. BK came out of rough to 6ft long left, but lipped-out from there. DD & Em both safely two-putted from back for birdie halves. ROW dormie 2 UP

#8 Em first on 4 yards high right of pin, BK followed even closer to 2 yards. C came up 6 yards short right, DD had club snafu and only made front fringe, for 2-putt par. C sunk his 18 footer to seal the match, making the other putts irrelevant. Em also made her downhill curler, while in story of match, BK missed his. ROW win 3 & 1

#9 we all played out the 9th, and ironically enough, after a somewhat scrappy match, made 3 birds on one of the tougher holes (and with a R-L wind to boot!). C went for the check run-on approach, while BK converted from 9ft long left, and DD played his as a high backspin to 4ft past.

Thanks for doing the recording, Dave!

    Daskino:
Mike and Icon, if you agree we can schedule our match on Saturday 31st around 2 PM WGT Time (5 PM your time, 10 PM Tess time and 11 PM here in Italy), so I won't be busy in chasing after daughters to put them to sleep :)

Just wanted to check and see if this was now confirmed with everyone... Mike/Icon: is 5pm your time Saturday 1/31 good for you both?

I thought this one couldn't be any better! Somedays, I play golf with no holes.
