The meter has won.It has taken over the game and gets 2-3 strokes added per round. It does what it wants to when it wants to.Is there anyone else beaten down like me?

Why can't we talk directly to the owners, or can we? and get real answers instead of to each all the time. It's like the blind leading the blind around here.

Welcome to WGT! The meter is not the only issue. The yardage is off on the clubs and the meter /or game has it's own mind.( game picks who wins/ loses(: lol

If you would read the FAQs you would see that most of the meter problems are caused by your own pc and it not being compatible with flash. There are many things that will help with a balky or stuttering meter. First and foremost is to keep your video drivers up to date. Most companies now release new video drivers about every 2 to 3 months sometimes even sooner if they see a problem with their cards not working well with something like flash. Also in settings lowering flash quality helps very much and you really don't notice much difference in video quality from high to low. Lowering flash quality also helps with dinging the meter because it makes the ding bar much bigger. Running as clean a machine as possible also helps greatly. Keeping your drive that your browser and flash are on defragged also helps. And there are 2 add on programs that also make the meter  much smoother. Gamebooster2 from Iobit and Leatrix Latency Fix . The latter was originally made for World of Warcaft online but it helps here as well. And lastly the browser you use to play the game makes a big difference as well. I have played with many spending some nights just testing different browsers. Google Chrome Iron seems to be the best followed by Google Chrome and Firefox. Opera  and Safari are iffy to say the least and  IE is definitely the poorest of them all. I do these things and have very few if any meter issues. And if and when I do I just let the bar go and not click and the next shot is normally fine. If  my meter is skipping badly I log off and back on and it normally is fine. Now the only time I have a really bad meter is when my antivirus program runs its weekly scan. Maybe if it were installed on a different drive I might not even have that problem, The only time I ever had major meter problems  it turned out it was being caused by a physically failing video card. The next day my video failed completely. Replacing it solved that problem.

I may not be an owner or employee of WGT but I have learned enough about the meter in the year that I have been here to be able to help people who have meter problems. That being said. Unfortunately there are some machines for what ever reason just don't work well with flash and it's not just here it is every site that uses flash.

This may seem weird, but Firefox and friends list don't mix. (at least not on my PC) Kind'a like oil & water...or is that Gold & Cast iron...lol

Excellent advice btb....if I may add... laptops played, on the lap, NEED let me repeat REQUIRE air circulation under the unit. Don't believe me look at those first degree burns on your thighs.lol... A cool-pad w/fans is a must. Cost around $40 bucks.

Another indicator or pre-lem of potential meter "demons" (spikes).. PC fan runs on and the unit gets hot (not warm HOT) feel the left side of your LT and you know what I mean. Stop your game (if you can) for a minute or two, lets the unit cool down. (catch up w/data)

For whatever it's worth just a couple of things that appears to lesson constant meter and/or game issues for me.

You gave me an idea.  I've been having meter problems the last 4 days as well.  But I already use google chrome.  I'll try updating it and will get back with an answer.  Cause I know it couldn't possibly be poor little helpless wgt.com that causes this meter problem. ;)
