Is there any advantage with these 282 Yard Drivers

  I have the sldr lvl 79, is there any point in me getting any of these other drivers? I am at level 90.

  Main wonder was the Bertha LVL 88 Driver, if it happens to get a couple more yards I would get it. Or the Nike 85, or the sldr 89 (which has exact same driver specifics as the 79, but is way cheaper, weird)

  I guess Im asking if any of the 282 yard drivers are worth the purchase to a lvl 90 player? Thanks

  kind of what I have experienced. Ive never got a free rental day so unless I want to pay 375 credits to try em out, Ill never know for sure. lol

  With the added spin i would say less into maybe a tad more with but not worth changing if ya already got the sldr bro 

  not even the 284yrd  r11s is really better than the other 282 drivers

  I have been playing the L 89 Sldr for about 6 months. The club yields 300+ yards, regularly, with 90 deg side winds to any tail wind.  I use 287 yds as the nominal expected distance off of the tees (vice 282).  If you are getting number like those - stick with what you've got!  The precision and forgiveness of this club is great.  The Bertha has been getting hit, a lot, over forgiveness.  If you ding most of your tee shots, that won't cause a problem - I don't want to take a chance for $25 and (maybe) 5 yards. With the (big) exception of Pinehurst, I'm not really sure that a longer driver makes much of a difference for me, as a Legend. TL is a whole 'nother matter.

  These forums are not burning up with praise for much under the L98 R1 and WGT has announced that more equipment (Callaway, Adams, etc.) is on the drawing board.  I am going to wait and see what the new gear look like (until I reach L98).

  Save your credits. I bought the L88 BB and sold it back in about 2 or 3 days.. lol..  Still using my SLDR and yeah, the only difference in it and the L89 are the color and the price.

  Had the Big Berta 282 driver for some months.

  Its a good driver, especially because its 10,5 degrees. The height is needed.

  example is Olympic no 5. Facewind or tailwind, you can go over the tree with full backspin applied.

  Later when you get the LVL97 Berta driver (287 yards), its 9 degrees. In tailwind you'll hit the tree with full backspin.

  The dark side of this 282 driver is every second round you get a VEM drive that goes further of line than anticipated.

  That doesnt happen with its LVL97 brother

  Thank you all, I have got nothing but great info from this forum everytime I ask a question. You guys are great thank you so much. I really love this game as you can probably tell. I like the brackets, and the lvl 90 ball has helped me alot but very expensive. 90 ball is a  Huge help on the par 5 in the legend brackets.

  btw, Olympic I think is my most successful course. And I am getting there at pinehurst, shooting 61 to 64 everytime at pinehurst lately. So I guess my driver is ok! : )

  Why even try to go over that tree? Either a drive of 95% or so using full topspin goes under it with very good distance or punch your driver and go under it as well still getting good distance.

  Theres a little branch hanging down from the tree. If U get too greedy and go 100% full top U can clip the branch. Also a tailwind from the right is not good. Risk of rolling through the fairway. Full backspin guarantee a stop in the fairway.
