  does everyone have this option? i suggested to my friend to turn it "on", but she say's she does not have it? asked WGT about it to no avail!

  Also bear in mind that the more options enabled the bigger the chance of having meter issues. I have mine turned off for this reason.

  +1 to all

  From a practical POV, they are distracting me, flapping while I putt though the pin and the flag should be pulled and out of sight when I'm on the green.

  Furtheron, you won't see this miracle

  

  because the shadow is off when flag animation is on ;)
