    Hi,

if it went in, awesome. It does the jump out when the ball approaches the hole at faster speed than it should be. I think what actually happens (only a guess though) is it hits back side of the hole and jumps up.

Thats wierd. Provided you didn't make any other 71ft putts in the past at anytime I'm not sure why you were credited with making that putt. I watched it and it clearly hit the back side of the cup, like icon said, and jumped up. Not sure why you were credited with the putt though. I would say a sneaky little bug.

I have had a few putts hit too hard and jump up but fall back in the hole but the replay showed it jumping out stopping before the ball fell back in.

You missed the putt somehow it gave you credit for it.

on 18 St Andrews once ball rested on cart path said  I had a free drop then sent me back to the tee with a stroke penalty!!!

That jumped out! Here's a link for anyone who's not seen it:

Surely that one's a miss! Nice putt though! Maybe it was WGT... You got lucky! If you reached that hole in 1 then you would've got a birdie anyway! While I see players getting luck all the time I still haven't had a HIO...
