  Hey ktn,

   

  still looking? I had some experiences with CC's, and not all of them where bad, but some where also somewhat demanding , so pt's 3. to 5. of your list above are meeting my expectations.

  I don't belong to a CC right now (just in case)...

  yes, Marco, we are still looking for new active members of any tier :-)

  Our door opens for everyone who likes to play online golf despite bad connection, blue screen, crazy meter,  wrong wind, clubs, math, clicks and etc. and etc :-))

  just we have 1 more rule: when a member does not play during 1 year I remove him/her.

  only today I have read 1 CC is looking for new 3 members L and TL  from exact places only.... ok, not my business but our CC's  door open for everyone even if peeps join  CC bcs WGT advice to do that to get XP. Not a problem! We give them a chance :-)

  You have at least 40 members who haven't been active for a month or more why would someone join your CC then?

  I remove not active players from time to time but everyone has chance to find this game interesting or not for him/her

  Clem's observation is interesting. There are over 1000 CC's. Many are very small (10-20 mbrs), while some have just one or two people. The larger CCs often consist of entire swaths of non-participants. This begs the question: why would someone join a CC and never participate? Conversely, why would a CC be content to carry deadwood? I have read posts making fun of the Georgians' myopic focus on "buying" the gold putter during clash events. But, to me, the fact they can motivate their players to participate and work towards a common goal is impressive.

  WGT routinely advertises millions of players on the site. Many of those players are long gone; inactive for many months or years. Then there are multi-accounters. Wgt won't discourage this, as it translates to more pro shop sales. Additionally, inflating the number of players makes wgt more attractive to their advertisers. There may be millions of accounts, but millions of players?...no way.

  So? In 10 days I will clean CC of players who did not play 1 year and already said about that in CC forum some days ago.

  I know how many active players we have. Also I know some members may have not time to play for months then they come back.

  Do look at your friends list Doylerc. DrSergio created our CC when previous CC (Sandy Paradise) was closed only bcs we had 33% of active players! To be honest I am happy to have 40 active players :-)

  And the last. CC life is just to have fun not a hard job :-)) Better do ask peeps who are disappointed and prefer to stay out of any of CC.

  Dont get me wrong im not having a go at ur CC or how u run it im just saying that having that many inactive members IMO is a real turn off to join a CC
