I have been trying "stab" my golf ball upon landing near the tee on incoming green shots without any roll or excessive roll, but can' figure this out.

At first I thought it was the WGT starter balls I am using,  but noticed someone else using the same balls, yet were dropping or "stabbing" their shot in the green near the tee without any roll.  Then I tried driving the ball low for backspin, without any improving result.

My level is L24 Hack 150, and my clubs are all WGT beginners except for my driver which is a Cobra Bio Cell.

Figuring this out would drastically improve my game. Someone please help...

Starter ball will roll out until you get high level clubs with a high spin rating...

Better balls might help you some...

^^^^ Hmmmm! Member since 08, posted two scores the entire time and winning MP games. One heck of an MP record at that LOL. Is there a pink elephant in the room?

Starter balls and clubs are never going to be able to stop the ball quickly on the green.  You need balls and clubs that have spin, those things have none of this precious commodity.  With Cleveland wedges you can stop a starter ball but for longer approaches you're going to have to learn to deal with the run out.

It's part of that wonderful thing called course management.  Something we need less and less as WGT keeps letting us have better and better gear.  Those of us with the top gear rarely need to pay much attention to the slopes of the green, just fire the ball at the hole and watch it stop dead.  Obviously this is somewhat simplified, leaving an uphill putt is still what most of us are trying to do but we almost never have to consider where the ball will end up as it rolls 30 or 40 feet across the green.

    Shame really.

    Is it you?

No reason to get personal on anybody.

Score histories have been deleted in September '14, and the MP record is 1-3.

It's not your concern how much anybody plays, so please keep quiet!

Me thinks the OP means moving the spin indicator down on the ball.

The longer the club, the less effect doing so has on the ball when it lands.

    TopShelf2010:

Let us not give The Man the idea of creating a driver that will stop a ball on a dime.

    LOL

    Hmmm... a golden driver.
