Well since this is going on about a small club,, @ the time of the Clash we had 42 members in Pirates Cove. We came in 45th place and was out gunned by TPC club and a cpl more.

For a club that was 3 weeks old,, at level 4,, we are proud what we done,, yes we had to spend credits,, but also we wanted to see how well we can match up against the other clubs in wgt. Also we had a great time pulling together as a club.

Got to remember,, ain't nothing free in life,, you gonna have to pay along the way. somewhere and somehow.

It is an awesome effort BUT here is why I will not pay in these cash grabs.

    • A club with 42 members is matched against a large club - wrong
    • The fact that it is primarily based on games played - i.e. Volume is wrong
    • The fact to play the volume you need to play to have a winning chance requires purchases of multiple passes - let alone ball use - wrong again (ball use is the players choice but to participate a pass is required - wrong
    • Skill is still only a minor factor - very wrong
    • Prizes are a joke and not worth the outlay - if you want Kudos, challenge another club as there is no Kudos in buying a win. No comment but if you like silly tee markers see a psychologist - you may well have problems!

I agree nothing is free in life and we all have a choice of whether to participate or not, but I just do not get these clashes as they are purely for WTG profiting. Perhaps someone can explain to me what the drive is?

For sure you have a good point on why you won't play, I agree with a lot of it.

We didn't play for the Tee Markers,, I don't care for the hearts, dogs Snowman or the gnomes,, silly looking  if I say so myself.

We played for Pride for being a small club,,, Yes,,When we was matched up against The People Club,,, I did say,,WTF... as we had no chance at winning ,, but, atleast in all we did pretty damn well,,

I spent a lot of credits,, but also I would waist it on other stuff anyways., I work hard at my job and I enjoy this game,, so the credits I buy,, I'm gonna spend on this stupid game of golf,, I'm home with my wife, not sitting in a Bar having to call her to pick me up...lol. so long the wife is happy,,, hubby can play golf,, on his PC...lol

LOL obx - my ex probably wished WGT was around then so I could play golf on a PC rather than playing several times per week! Or perhaps not LOL.

I too use my own money to play, I just did not see the value in the clashes and would rather put up a prize in the CC from time to time, but fully respect your viewpoint.

Still a cheap game compared to night out at a bar or most forms of entertainment IMHO.

LMAO John....I will take your word. I am sure you can buy quite a few ping pong balls for that!
