At about 7am Pacific time this morning, I was playing in one of my CC Tourneys.  Noticed a big meter studder.  Didn't think much about it, caught it when it happened and didn't swing.  No problem.

Playing on RSG taking second shot with a long iron.  Hit the ball,  WTF just happened.  Looked like a shot with ball boost turned on. (mine is off BTW).  Checked options, yep off.  Ok, maybe I saw wrong.  Finished the hole, didn't notice it again.

Next hole, noticed the same thing happened.  WTF, ok, lets save game, shut all down and reopen.

Upon coming back to the course I see this popup window top right of screen.  BALL BOOST TURNED ON, CLICK HERE TO TURN OFF.  What???????  Go to options, sure enough, boost is turned on.

Check time, was about 10 after 10 East coast, so figure this happened about 7 West coast.  Maybe about the time they showing up for work.

Maybe from clash, prize won, don't know.  But shows WGT can do things that we don't know about.

And no, not wearing tin foil hat.

Boosts are default on when you get them. Apparently you got one from the last clash or somebody gifted you one.

Yep, just looked at account, it was from the clash.  It's just strange that is would pop up or turn on in the middle of a game.  And caused a h e l l of a meter studder when it activated.

But it didn't change the options when it activated, only after shutting down and reopening WGT.  No, did not log off and back on.  Stay logged on all the time.

Wish they would not put them as default on though.  I had a 30' eagle putt in a CC tourney, and watched it race off at 100 MPH, LOL.  Thought WTF how did I set that meter to 300 then I watched it stop and realised.  Still missed, lol, but at least not by 70' in some snake territory.......Almost woke me up:)

    ^^^

Still cleaning the trousers after similar happened on a 15 foot putt - had me twitching on every shot thereafter.

Wish I had the the confidence to ram 'em in like that without the boost.

    ;-)

LMAO. Was waiting for someone to ask how I knew.  :-D

@Gary-If something WGT does affects your game like that I'd like to ask you if, when you play, do you start by hitting that Play Now button? And if you do, do you close the page behind the game client window?

Activity on the main site will definitely foul up a decent meter and the fix is to either close that window OR set up a browser for just the game only so that stuff doesn't get you.  ;-)

The answer to this is NO and YES.  Play in Opera from a bookmark that goes directly to game client page.  But yes, if I happen to play in either Chrome or Firefox where I have gone to the main and clicked play now, I would close the main screen.

I use either Chrome or Fox for forums, don't even visit the forums with Opera.

As others seem to have seen the same thing, but haven't mentioned anything about meter.  I think that I just happened to catch it during a swing when WGT activated it.
