Only my front scorecard (the state is complete.). In the back 100% of the wind in my face and too tired for an old man, and my horrible put, only this. In 2008 there were only standard equipment. Great times.
Great tour organized by Corwyn, as always.

    Congratulation

Great to see so many players giving this a go!

Reminder: Round 1 ends Sunday night WGT time, so make sure and get your first round played by then...

... and, in case you haven't gathered it from the posts above, a little practice is highly advised!

I agree...a little practice is advised, but a little luck comes in very handy too.

Could not make any bird putts outside of 6ft, but was able to make all my 6ft or less putts which is good for me and that &*%^#%*&! putter. That LONG 9.9ft putt was for a par 4 on a headwind hole.

    Kind of begs the question.

Why aren't these available through the normal aspx tourney menu?

Good start until hole 11 and then the usual triple bogey. I've also missed a lot of 10f putts or less.

Well, I was much better in practice than in the real thing, lol.

I just closed out an ugly 78 (+8). I kept finding interesting places on the course, and failing to recover time after time.

Mostly I can put it down to poor course management. I got greedy on the first thinking I had enough club to clear the front bunker, but still should have saved par after escaping to 9ft. A birdie on #2 was really the only highlight of a round that soon went pear-shaped. My approaches kept not getting nearly close enough, and the mid-range putts kept sliding by. On #9 I was aiming for the slope to roll round, but a slight pull was fatal as it rolled further left and found the face of the bunker, leading to my only big number.

After that, I made the cardinal error of getting too ambitious trying to pull things back, starting to aim for pins... which, of course, led to even more bogeys. Oh well, lesson learned.

Huge kudos to Jeremy and Russ with the leading scores so far, and to all of you with low 70s numbers. It's hard going out there!

Good luck to those still heading out today. Tourney entry ends tonight, midnight WGT time. Get your 1st round in while you can.

Well I practiced all week and it actually paid off to some degree. I played my usual conservative game of not going for pins at all. Using up what the course offered and the wind allowed. My only real highlights  would be throwing a pitch shot in the hole on the 4th and totally overplaying the 15th trying to have more fun than the course was going to give me. Shot a 71 that just as easily could have been under par. I suppose I should be thrilled but I'm a little miffed. The Bogey at 18 was a 12 foot par putt that rimmed the hole and just died right next to it. I did have mega luck with 30 mph following winds on both par 5's and nothing but 30mph in my face on the par 3's. I like it that way.:) Shot  a tidy 71.
