    fmagnets:
This makes it 8-8 with 3 matches to go - very tight!

    very tight indeed,

but the winner here is the level of sportmanship between the 2 clubs

That's what its all about Dave and couldn't agree more. Having read all the messages in our own forum, there have not only been some brilliant matches, but also fantastic banter and interaction between all competitors with new friendships formed, every match played in the right way and that is the reason we so enjoy testing ourselves against amazing CC's like Wooden Tee.

Hoping to play my match with Darren tonight and definitely getting exciting for sure...

Good luck to all the remaining guys in the 3 outstanding matches

    David

Great match everyone! I enjoyed the game against Bot1 (Andy) - a superb player!! It was close to the very end. Could have gone either way. Thanks once again to the organizers. Good luck to the players in the last 3 matches! Tom

Just had an epic game with Darren and thoroughly enjoyed getting our first game in and have no doubts it will be the first of many..A top bloke indeed and was a pleasure to meet and play against you mate..

Got off to a flyer with a fortunate eagle from the fairway on the Opening hole and with Darrens radar not fully on in the first few holes, managed to grab an early lead, but this guy isn't the player he is without shooting low and we then traded a few birdies all the way through to 17 where I missed a bendy 14 footer whilst Darren canned his.

Always a chance and to quote Daz "It aint over yet" as we were about to hit our 2nd shots to 18 (the par 5 7th from RSG). He proceeded to stiff his approach (to which I said," It is now lol")from 250 yards and a very generous concession meant a half in eagles gave Wooden Tee the victory by 1 hole not that it mattered...A great game with a great guy and a pleasure to be a part of..

Congrats Daz on some great play mate and catch you again soon I hope

Thanks David. Thought i was done for after your great eagle on the 1st. I managed to hang in there though and stiffed a few on the back 9. Good match and good company mate.

    See you soon

    Darren

    What a match!

If this goes to 10-10, I wouldn't want to be playing in the decider, my nerves would be jangling!

I would like to say, this has been the most enjoyable CC match I have ever been involved in. Not one problem with any of the games, which is a first.  The UKGE are a phenomenal CC full of great and very friendly players. It has restored my faith in WGT. Well played to everyone. New friends and rivalries have been made fore sure.

I must take a moment to agree with all thats been said. It has indeed been a great battle between two fantastic clubs. Congrats to The Wooden Tee CC not only for great play but for playing the whole match the way it should be played with dignity and sporting respect. Well done gents. And finally a quick well done to Tom aka Tgkomv , enjoyed a quality battle bud.

    Good Luck out there !
