So I am in 2nd round with no opponent, my question is do I have to play the 2nd Round, or do I automatically advance even If I do not play?

    Thanks in advance, Jon

You need not play, and, strictly having SUCCESS in your mind, you shouldn't.

    - you avoid to give away information on your playing skills by NOT posting a score,

    - you avoid the remote chance to leave the game incomplete with the consequent WD.

    Good luck!

Edit: You might use the time to practice the next round ;)

    alosso:
    You need not play

This is not true. If you don't play the match you don't get to the next round, you show up as a WD.

    Sorry to object, YJ:

Here, I had to play round 2 because there was an opponent (who WD), but I didn't play round three (no opponent) and still moved on to the final.

The OP describes the situation of my round 3 - both players in the opponent's bracket WDed in the round before.

That was the 3rd round, not the 2nd. I have slept through my turn in a hard to fill CC bracket and been DQ'd with a WD even though my op had withdrawn.

If you sign up for a bracket, play all of the rounds. That way there is no doubt.

Of course we have to play when there's an opponent, like in my 2nd round.

But the thread title says, "im vrs. no one" corresponding to my 3rd round - then, you're wrong to call me wrong with "playing isn't necessary", no matter which round. Proof in my picture.

Does that scenario occur if 2 ops WD in the 1st round and you are supposed to play the winner?

Think so - perhaps the OP might confirm?

It was 2 first round wd;s, and I am in the 2ndround vs no one.

I swore one time I saw this and the guy didnt play, and he advanced, but I wasnt sure so thought I would ask or confirm

Maybe ill just give it a go with the white ball
