While I like your idea.. it can be expanded even furthur for additional income for WGT, but also possibilities for the player to customize their game.
For example.. Think of all the shaft makers out there get their name in the game and introduce shafts that players can buy and put on their clubs. Driver with what shaft they want, some help distance, control, trajectory.
Same can be done for irons and wedges.. the spinner wedges shafts come to mind.
And if they can't get the companies to buy in, then make your own shafts up.
