    I usually have a moan most days about the strange goings on in ready go's, but today the usuall happened.

    I was -6 going into St Andrews 17th, had a good drive, was 156 yards to pin, with 26 mph right to left wind, a nice easy approach. But my ball hit edge of green, flew right towards the road and wall, but instead of hitting wall and bouncing back it went straight through the stone wall as if it was not there.  I'm sure its legend balls i'm using and not bullets of some sort................And then i get the usuall round f@ck up of out of bounds, a lost ball and a drop (instead of being near the green where it should have been), 156 yards back, so my good round has gone to an average round because of a ghostly wall. I was enjouing my round untill then, but there's always something to get you pissed by the end.

    Every time i hit a rock, or hump in fairway my ball will travel 50 to 100 yards over the usuall club lengh, so you think a STONE wall would bounce ball back, and not straight through....Unless, but a big UNLESS, tiny locals have been taking stones out of the wall so they can see the open without having to climb up or pay!

    I was enjouing my round untill then, but there's always something to get you pissed by the end.

    And typical my friend angel, i tried to save the replay, but damn game froze..but did send a bug log.  Another one of my balls for WGT's collection..why fix a problem thats costing us each time but forcing us to keep replacing our lost balls, whatever people say WGT your business sense is 100%, (others might call it ruthlesnes)

    Some of the views can be deceiving . What may appear for a ball to go right through a wall can actually be a ball going over the top of a wall. Remember that wall on 17 is fairly low.

    Yeah I've had that one a couple of times myself. Strangely that one doesn't annoy me as much as when you lose a ball in the Swilken Burn on the 1st. They do have such a thing as a scoop for these occasions;

    Yeah, ball is OB there, everybody knows.... Why did that "easy approach" end there? WGT "robbed" you 1/2 stroke only (drop shoulda been in fescue behind the green, not 150 y away). Keep practicing.

    And it's funny, tiffer, i'm starting to think that me and a few others that keep making money from RG's, can do it only because WGT is fu.ucking everyone else's good rounds.

    OB...stroke penatly and return to where ball was last struck...just like real golf

    Happy Golfing

    Joe

     PS   Why doesnt the Pro Shop sell Ball Retrievers...every time you use it to pluck a ball out , you can get your ball back for 1/2 of what a new one costs.

    I can understand people getting frustrated over these situations, as you know I like a good moan about them myself every now and again. However I do think that suggesting the gameplay is worse in RGs than in any other mode is ill founded. I have meter issues no matter whether I'm playing in ranked, practice or competitions.

    If you play a lot of RGs you just have to accept that these situations will happen to you and many others. It's just you don't get to see them when it happens to other players, lol.....

    I saw the ball from a close angle, it was rolling along floor untill it got to the wall, and then went through...or it might have gone through a damn rabbit hole or something., but no, it didn't go over wall or i would not have written this moaing post

    I've had that too. You just have to learn from it.
