We have a CC of shall we say more mature members. This was my concern as I own the CC. My wife has the info & contacts that if something happens to me she has the ability to change the ownership. We have the members in place to take over. I know this will not help the current issue but possibly may for other CC's

becoming friends with someone on Feb. 13th is not an indication he was on that day as the friend request could have been sent a month ago and just accepted on the 13th

i have seen this same scenario before and it is totally unfair to the members to have to start a new club from scratch ....mainly because they can only start with like 15 members from a 165 club membership

    WGTicon:

    hi

sadly, there is not much we can do. the club is owned by the club owner, so until he or she passes it, we can't really intervene, we know it's not ideal, but it is what it is right now :(

Totally understand WGT's position. The owner of a CC is just that the owner and WGT should not intervene even if the owner tells all their members to not play in a Clash. That is the owners decision. WGT should not interfere in the owner's decisions otherwise where does it end?  Someone does not get accepted to a CC and WGT overrides that decision because WGT wants to second guess the owner?  No owner or CC member would want that.

As far as the two that have come into the public domain of the Forums that I have read about the only way is to start over.

TYCGC started over - but that case the owner left (and is still gone) was "just" a level 4 CC at the time (IIRC) and the whole CC XL was just a month old. The old TYCGC had about 2.4 million CC XPs when they started over with a new owner.

No consideration was given to the new TYCGC. No more members, no transfer of CC XPs, no nothing.

Senior Citizens has over 21 MILLION CC XPs (5th overall in WGT) and is level 13. A new CC would take a year or so to just get back to that level starting with a base of 15 members.

The question that was asked last August by some of the TYCGC members was simple - can you do anything for us? The answer was the same then as now - "No." We can all respect that I would think.

However, WGT has had 6 months to do something about it and has not done anything with respect to powers for officers.

So here WGTIcon is a simple interim solution:

Let CC owners PM you or Customer Support with their own WGT "Last Will and Testament" of what to do if they stop being active for 30 days or more. So for example, a CC owner could say that member xyz can have ownership if I leave WGT or have not been on WGT 30 days.

Simple clean solution - the owner tells their CC members what they said so the members know - the owner is gone for 30 days with no contact - a member contacts WGT - WGT checks and if it is true -  BOOM - WGT implements the CC owner's stated wishes.

    Just an idea

OR...just give a trusted member your password when you feel 'at deaths door' ?

^^^^^^^ Against the TCs maybe but like he o she gonna give a fook, 6ft under..

    And....

The real owner gonna be happy if he comes back from the 6 week, bargain priced World cruise he found on-line 3 days before sailing and didn't think to tell his 249 flubbernet members his immediate course through Life...

Too much hassle in any regard,

    Anyway......

don't get em thinking about useless extra crap ffs !!

Spot the out of work lawyer !  ;0

They had 250 members not long ago. Sad to see a club slowly die.

As a former owner of SCCC, and a long time member, I had tried on a few occasions to get in touch with the present owner to let him know that I would be interested in taking ownership again if his health did not allow him to continue. I have never heard back from him. This left me no choice but to start my own club. While I am not actively recruiting Senior Citizen Members, they do know that if things fall apart, they are welcome. It is sad for me to see what is happening there, most of the long time members were Pro's when we first joined, and we all moved up together and had a lot of laughs along the way. I would have much prefered taking over that club, rather than starting a new one. Since we just started, I  would not be opposed to closing down my club, and assuming ownership of SCCC, but I need to hear from the owner, or have WGT intervene, and it looks like neither will happen.

I am watching with a fair degree of sadness the slow falling apart of Senior Citizens CC, although I left there in the autumn, I was a member for a couple of years and had some great times there and made some very good friends there.

It seems that just because an owner goes missing, in this case apparently because of serious illness, a fine CC may well fall apart. Surely WGT must look at what could be done in the future, probably too late in this case, but in the future maybe. ( won't hold my breath, no money to be made !! )

But there is an alternative in the new CC Oldbones29 has opened. He and the other members there are all ex members of SCCC, so you will be amongst friends as well.

CC owners could also post in a locked post on their forums what they would like to happen in the event they do not/can not log into the game for a certain period of time.  A couple of games I have played autopromoted someone after 90 days of not showing up.

    Just a thought.

    hi guys

. I would email us to make sure before starting a new club as I don't have access to all the tools our CSR team does, so they will be able to tell you more what can be done and what cannot be done.
