i belong to a country club our owner had health issues in january i last had contact by email saying he would return one week later ,it has now been 5 weeks and we have heard nothing so our cc is at a stand stil we cannot accept any new members or do anything that relates to the owner is there anything wgt could do example give someone in our cc the power to take over the cc, members are getting concerned about the owners return or none return we currently have 175 members but quite a few have said they are going to leave be cause of the situation we find ourselves ,,,

surely its in  wgt intrest to try and keep a country club with this many members who are active and do all they can for the cc to be a friendly place to play golf and make new friends on wgt

This is an issue that should of been dealt with a LONG time ago. CC owners should be able to name an assistant that has some or all of the same powers that the owner has.

This was supposed to be fixed with the addition of club directors. But as usual, WGT has sat on their hands with CC issues and has instead spent their time working on features like super fast green speeds.

WGT will tell you there is nothing you can do but start up a new club.

One of the Yorkshire clubs had this problem recently. Might be worth finding out what they did.

    hi

sadly, there is not much we can do. the club is owned by the club owner, so until he or she passes it, we can't really intervene, we know it's not ideal, but it is what it is right now :(
