I've been slowly upgrading my clubs and am now only a couple of days away from level 35. It looks to me to be a good putter, especially for its cost.

My question is this. I'm generally an (attempt to) ding putter, but have found that on short putts, off-dinging to allow for the slight break works very well. With the increased forgiveness of this and higher-level putters, does that strategy still work? Are some putters better than others for doing this?

Fond memories of that little gem of putter, and will work 100% with your style.  Easily capable of seeing you through to a real hi level say L70 versa putter too,

FWIW wait until L59 (G25 irons) for any more upgrades apart from maybe a third wedge at M level.

Thanks for the advice. I have plans to buy another Cleveland wedge (the level 31 64 degree) and the level 48 R1 driver before I can buy the G25s at 59. This will replace my last starter wedge and get me a much better driver that goes 30 yards farther with a slower meter and lots more forgiveness. After that I have no plans for clubs...I'll have to research more at some point down the road.

I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of this pro level a bit as I shot 68 at St. Andrews and 67 my first ever round at Pinehurst today. I haven't been able to golf for several years, and this game has been a blast.

That Ghost 35 is a dandy, no question. However the 15-25-50 split has the potential to cause issues in the future as the nature of putting growth improves while the greens become faster and require more attention to distance control. Because of this, I believe staying with the 15-30-60 split is the way to go, since the smart majority flow goes to the L-70 Versa until the L-96, both of which win most votes as "Best Putters"

I used the L35 Spider right through M and TM until I got the L77 Nike, very good putter IMO .but putters are very much a personal preference , suited me fine for a long time.

Same here. Used the 35 Ghost all the way to level 94, then got the 70 Versa. Price-wise, it's the best deal of any equipment in the ProShop.

Price-wise, get the Rossa and save 75 cr ;)

More important than this marginal difference may be that the Rossa is more for "off-dingers", with less forgiveness than the Ghost.

Exactly like real golf, the virtual putters are a matter of personal feel and taste. Personally, I have used the Ghost series as they have unlocked and have been happy with them. At level 94, I'm now on the third and highest currently available. I have tried other putters and not had the success I'd like.  Someone mentioned the scale differences and those do indeed come into play, at least for me. Your mileage may vary!

I might suggest waiting for a demo weekend, better known as the free rental weekend, to experiment. They occur from time to time and can be used to try out equipment before spending heard earned credits on a club that doesn't suit you. Of course, that reduces the WGT revenue stream a bit, but I've found it a useful technique to refine my purchases. Since they do offer them, it is to your advantage the advantages offered.

And as with all advise, take it with a golf ball sized grain of salt!

Best of luck, play well and try to improve every time out!
