Blitz Recovery Points

  Get rid of the recovery double points in the Blitz games you are just pissing people off. Why should you get double point on the next hole for hitting a bad shot? People are now hitting bad shots on purpose, if its a hard hole to get the double points on the next hole. Makes no sense

  They (WGT) are trying to give players a reason to continue playing.(more shots/more balls/more $).  Although it does make Blitz more competitive and gives you a chance to come back in a match , it really is not in the true spirit of golf,or sport , for that matter.

  I believe their thought process is that if a player has no chance to stage a miracle comeback then they will disconnect as soon as they hit a bad shot. Like I said, not in the true spirit of golf competition or sport, but then again this is a business paradigm.

  I totally agree - get rid of recovery points.  It's meant to be a competition of skill, but like you say, this encourages one to hit a bad shot on a difficult hole and then get double points on the next (easy) hole, and the player who played it well is penalised.

  Yes get rid of water recovery points, you should not get rewarded for going into water .A very bad rule OUT WITH IT.
