    Corwyn:
Mati (Matildalgaly) has also played today, and she scored a 62 (-10). Her final Best9 Relative to Par number will be -92, just a few shots short for her... :(

    So you caught that :)

Well, it wasn't my day. Missed birdie on hole no 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 16, 17. Putting was ok for a change but had a few crazy lies and some weird bounces.

Not to sad though. It was super fun and i will for sure play the next one.

Bad luck, Mati... but I'm glad to hear you had fun (and will be back for more, lol!)

    Corwyn:
Oh, I see that wk21 @ Kiawah has just paid out (into individual accounts). Obviously, the spreadsheets are all using provisional numbers for that week currently, so it's possible that I was wrong with those calculations.

Hopefully the WGT servers will synch soon and we'll see the allocated credits show up inthat leaderboard, so I can update the Standings with confirmed numbers. The leaderboard doesn't show credits (for me) as of now.

The servers did synch up quickly this time, and I've just checked all the credit allocations for TL and L tier and they match up exactly. I don't see any differences between my calculations and the final, confirmed amounts.

Therefore, the Standings are accurate and up-to-date!

I've just scored 58 with a stupid 3 putts on #8. 10 birdies on the last 10 holes, 2 putts missed for eagle (both stopped inside 1f). An incredible number of wedge shots close to be holed. I've missed something :(

Oh wow, Joe! Sounds like some great ball-striking, but how maddening to have that 3-putt and the 2 eagle chances stop short.

Even though you must be disappointed, you've had a fantastic Tour, and qualified comfortably even amongst the "big boys" in TL tier, which you weren't confident you could do. Bravo!

Nonetheless, it seems like everyone wants to keep Sara's chances alive. This is extraordinary!

We now have an extra permutation with Joe's great score: if he picks up 80 or 81 credits he'll overtake Sara (FluffyGreens) [who may get 1 or 2cr at most from what is currently a tied 66th in L tier]. Last week a 6-way tie for 3rd in TL tier was enough for those players to pick up 86cr. Right now Joe is tied 2nd with 1 other player.

There are a lot of strong players still to post, however, not least Saurabh08, KonradOse, and of course FairwayRuepel68 and Dazza501 on the ROW side (and others such as bhoese, ColumbusStorm, KyRock75, Shankette, to name but a few from the US team).

Are you watching all this, Sara!

    Corwyn:

KyRock75 is close behind, and could still qualify via that route. Right now he's in the list via the last spot in the relative to par standings, and has a healthy 4 shot lead over fredsf. ColumbusStorm, frenchconnect and Wesdogg75 make up the other automatic qualifying spots. BigKnight now seems too far behind, so the remaining drama is between Rock and Fred for that last spot, or whether a great result will propel any one of many outsiders into a credits position.

Rock pm'ed me to say that the drama would be over if a check was sent...check on its way bud!  ;-)

Hope it wasn't too expensive, Fred - btw the match-fixing scandal team will be paying a visit to both of you, lol!  :)

So... it seems Rock closed with a disappointing 66, which won't be enough credits to catch Shankette one place above him in those standings, and which leaves his final Best9 Relative to Par total the same on -77. (3 worst scores drop out: 2 blank weeks and another -6).

Meanwhile, Fred, who has already posted a 61 (-11), thus improves his Best9 Relative to Par by 7 to -83 (3 worst scores total -9: one blank week, a -4 and a -5).

Congratulations Fred on making the team in an automatic qualifying place!

    --------------------------

In ROW team news, Dazza has posted a 60 for tied 7th, which sadly falls short of the high finish he needed to slip into the Best9 credits places.

FluffyGreens' St Andrews score has now slipped out of the top 70 Legend leaderboard so she won't improve her total credits even by 1 or 2.

Johehejo's position on the TL leaderboard is now down to tied 16th (still with some top names to play). I think his chance via that route has gone...

... but JoeMaverick remains tied 2nd. He needs 79cr to overtake FluffyGreens in that Best9 credits qualifying spot. I think he can afford it to go to a 6-way tie for 3rd and still get enough. We'll have to see what scores the remaining top players post!

Thanks Corwyn, it was really unexpected so Rock is good on uneven lies.

Now, I'm not Captain Russ but I think maybe this update makes his job easier for the captain picks ;)

It's almost over now and I'm still second. So that would give the last spot to Daskino instead of FluffyGreens (sorry).

Not a lot of movements in team ROW, only Legaci didn't play the previous competition.

    Hi Joe,

Congrats on the 2nd place finish, and huge commiserations to FluffyGreens, who thought she had blown her chance, then scores kept on coming in that gave her hope.

However, I think that it's not Daskino that benefits...

Here's the post I made a few days ago:

    Corwyn:
However, Joe, if you, Marc (FairwayRuepel68), or Dazza are able to overtake Sara (FluffyGreens), the extra place that will create in the best9 Relative to Par would, I think (!) now go to duffputt rather than Daskino.

If my calculations are right, Daskino will finish with -95, which is also the number duffputt will reach. And then, if needed, there will be a tiebreak, as I posted yesterday:

    Corwyn:
OK: here is the decision on what will happen in the event of a tie for a RyderCup automatic qualifying place should players end up with the same score in the Best9 Relative to Par category.

The tiebreak criteria will next go to said players' overall Relative to Par score (taking into account all tourneys they competed in). [In theory this better rewards a player who has both participated in more events, and been more consistent].

If that still fails to resolve the tie, then it will go to Best9 credits: whichever of those players has the most credits in the Best9 table will take the last automatic qualifying spot.

And if by some miracle that still fails to resolve the tie, it will go to overall Credits standing (not just best9).

Hope that makes sense (and seems logical and fair to all)!

    Corwyn

By those tiebreak rules, duffputt is 2 strokes better off than Daskino in the overall Relative to Par standings across all 12 events (not just Best9).

I will check all this in the morning, but I think Daskino is going to just miss out on the automatic spot.

You're right, I'd forgotten the last -11 of duffputt and so they are tie. Fortunately I've asked to you what happens in case of tie :p

No luck for Daskino, but nice for Duffputt. Now if I was the ROW captain... :D
