You can do what I do and what a lot of other Widescreen users do utilise that extra space by putting your Windows Task Bar to one side rather than along the bottom - to me this is the norm for widescreen use.

Not only does this free up more space to view vertically but, uses the wasted horizontal space.

try your game with the Task Bar moved. It works great for me and Maxthon browser  'pop out'  - maximised view  - i only have about 1/2 inch black space either side.

Another solution of course is to revert back to a regular 4:3 monitor.

    Pretty cool huh

I been having my task bar there ever since i got my first widescreen , years before I started at WGT, gives you a lot more viewable real estate on the screen.  :)

I would consider moving it there, but my homemade shot/putter pal relies on there being a space between the bottom of the screen and the meter. Might not make sense unless you saw it but that's why I have my taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Plus, it's sooo full of icons that moving it to the side would mean that they wouldn't all show.
Actually, I've just discovered that moving it to the side doesn't show more icons when you expand the width of it, like it does when it's at the top or bottom, you still have to click the arrows to show the hidden ones, wonder why Microsoft did that?

For years I used a homemade meter that worked for both putting and iron shots. I loved it

But of course Scott, join a CC and get the free  shot / putt pal and all of that is out of the window.

Cosa Nostra would welcome you with open arms and a slap on the back.
