    I am a fairly new Lv 87 Legend currently using the L73 Calloway 3W. I have been happy with it but with Legend tee boxes I now need a partial driver to reach some long par 3s and finding many par 5s just out of reach. I am looking at the L89 BB 3W but have read some say that it is pretty unforgiving. I hit my ding or very close to it most of the time. Would someone who has owned both give me their opinion about whether or not to upgrade this club?

    Not sure if I have tried that L73 3W in a free rental or not, but really it's an easy one for you.  The L89 3W is a better 3W for real course RR play anyway....Better distance , better stoppin'..........Has a tendency to too often wander off drunk more often than many think it should, but overall a no brainer.

    J-Bog is right on...I used the L89 Bertha a long time and loved it. I now use the L97 Bertha but at times return to the L89 for certain hole situations. You will appreciate the 4.5 accuracy along with the friendly 3.5 meter ;-}

    In that case, get the Bertha.

    The Bertha is a nice club, but also consider the Max Meter!  While is does have a slightly shorter range @a rated 240 yrds, it is my 3w of chose and has a very nice slower meter!  Distance is not everything, especially  if you cannot control the shot!

    LOL if you knew my real name (not all that hard to work out roughly) you could see why it would be possible to think of the handle.

    Now that said, as a non gamer, it was the quickest thing that came to mind for an online sim I assumed would be as crappy as some other mickey mouse flash games I played for 3 seconds.  Then I got hooked  !

    Rather attractive cow though don't ya think :)

    You know what Phil ? By George you're right. I forgot I used the L92 Max and it was wonderful. Such a delight

    0h....

    Well, as for the Bogger aka J-Bog, I'm pleased he is OK and good to go with it. I just shortened it a bit because I always read his complicated posting that always include his elaborate trend to shorten any spelling...you know ? He will type something like " I never RTTPOPT when I RRL with it" "Well only if GGJ" ;-}

    I still own both and used 2 switch back and forth about 2 months ago, but been using  BB only  now, seems the more i play the more accurate (forgiving) BB gets, hmmm? the X2hot is a good club but if your on the ding as you say BB is the way 2 go with the added     yards for the long par 5s and 3s, sometimes im amazed by the stopping power of the BB, overall better 3 wood imo..                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               :edit  forgot to change out my hybrid after playing Bandon today(oops) then played the 50 cr Cabo 18 hole tourney with BB from the tips and did ok with no driver lol..    ;-)
