  Had an enjoyable match with mrdyb & crankspanker, few meter issues hurt em and hurt em bad.  BB & Myself weren't exactly on top of our game but we played pretty solid & consistent.  GG guys.

  Bump ... Just 8 matches to go in the 2nd round ... then the Sweet 16 will be final.

  Unfortunately I had to move 3 teams forward to complete round 1 ... please try to get your games in by Sunday evening .. if not at least let me know you are trying.

  My apologies to the 3 teams I left back .... I have left you all notes with my reasoning.

  As Mightyred says we are doing our best to get our game together.  Opposing schedules due to the time difference between the UK and East Coast US have delayed us.....

  Mightyred has trouble playing AFTER 10:00 PM UK Time (5:00 PM US Time) and NUMP cannot play BEFORE 11:30 PM UK Time (6:30 PM US TIme) - this conflict has automatically stricken all weekdays from possibility.  The 2 weekends we have had available have been HOLIDAY weekends with other outside obligations for at least one or some of us.

  We are now looking at something this Friday evening.  We will keep you informed.

  Jbenny and Myself, took on Seve and Villa in Rd 2.  Villa got some crap meter first couple of holes, then later on again, and Jim and I played pretty solid to not give much back.  Came down to dormie 17, favorable wind both had irons, villas rolled forever leaving longer downhill breaker, seve just missing low, 2 putt par sealed tough victory for us.  pleasure playign with villa again, and seve for first time.

  Finally got our match played with Atlantacoaster and nump, enjoyed the company of a fine pair of gentlemen. We didn't pull any trees up and AC and nump didn't do much wrong , played nice and tidy. Atlanta and nump won 2 up. Good luck in the next round lads ....

  Update as of Saturday Jan 8th.

  With only 6 matches to play to set up the Sweet 16 ... and most of those matches to be played this weekend .. i thought it time for an update.

  I have sent notes to almost all of the competitors asking them to let me know where they stand on their matches.    If they are not finalized by end of day Wednesday 1/12 ... the higher seeds will be moved forward.

  Once you advance ... you can begin scheduling your 3rd / 4th rounds

  Round 3 = Oakmont Back 9 Ranked

  Round 4 = Bethpage Back 9 Ranked

  Thanks and I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday .... it's over now .. start playing WGT again :)

  Just finished an awesome match with Mick and Rob. Shade and I jumped out to a quick 2up lead with birdies on 10&12. Rob took one back on 13 by draining a curler from 20ft or so. We halved 14 and 15 and on 16 I screwed the pooch from 80yds and left my partner 13ft after Mick had hit his to gimmie range. Shade missed the tricky putt I left and we go back to AS. Rob steps up to #17 like it's the easiest hole on the course and hits his shot to about 10ft, just short and right on line. Shade clicks a tad early and leaves me on the front left fringe and after I flop it on, Mick drains the birdie putt for them to take a 1up lead. Mick and I both hit good drives, leaving our partners 205ish to the hole, and our partners follow suit and hit nearly identical shots,leaving Mick and I 20ft birdies from just short and right of the hole. Mick hits his about 4ft past and I knock mine in to force extras. We take the match with birdie on the 1st after Shade knocks in the 8footer I left him. Great match gentlemen, was very up and down and I had a load of fun.

  Thanks for the company Broo and Rob.  PGA, made a clutch putt on the 18 to send it into extra innings.

  I had  a good laugh during the round.  Thanks again gentlemen.
