lvietri: Yoda .. to answer your question if someone bows out for an extraordinary reason (like they died) before the seedings are posted and wants to invite you that's ok with me - just tell them to message me. Once the seedings are posted I am not going to re-do it and there will be no substitutions and the other person they will forfeit their next match.
No offense, but that is not consistent with your rules. The rules state, in bold and caps, presumably for emphasis: NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED FOR ANY REASON
If the player died, it's very unlikely that the WGT community would find out definitively prior to whatever deadlines are set. Furthermore, if a player wanted to bow out, they could just come up with an "extraordinary reason" (such as a death in the family, car wreck, etc.,) and you can't possibly check the veracity of the claim. In effect, this means substitutions can be made so long as the player is willing to come up with some crazy excuse, and most players would do so instead of robbing their playing partner of the chance to continue on in the tournament. As such, the rule and your interpretation of the rule are completely contradictory.
I realize that you'll probably do the opposite of what I suggest, simply out of spite, but substitutions save everyone a lot of grief, and WGT is not a serious competition, but rather a game played for fun.
