Just want to emphasize what a great game that was and a nicer pair you will not find in all of WGT. On the balance, Clarence and Bart made less mistakes than us and therefore deserved the win. Some real highlights and lowlights throughout so although it wasn't a game of the highest quality, it certainly was a great matchup. All the best in the final guys; I'm sure it'll be a cracker.

Finally, my thanks to Tom for being a great partner and for Lou for organising and running the whole show. Never an easy job - you're work's definitely been appreciated at our end!

Was a cracker from start to finish, tight almost all the way. Yeah it wasn't the very highest quality you'll ever see but the company was fantastic and there were enough top shots to keep everyone interested, Bart's approach to 6 and my approach to 12 (blowing my own trumpet here) were two out of the top top draw.

#13 and #14 were the difference really and that putt on 14 was the killer. On my screen it started to drop into the hole and then the screen jerked slightly and the next thing I saw it was 6in away from the hole back the way it had come. Still don't know how it missed actually!!

Thanks to all 3 guys for indulging me playing while I was trying to "boss-dodge" at work and to James for inviting me to join him in this. Best of luck to Bart/Clarence in the final, two true gentlemen and two clutch golfers when the pressure is on :-D

Brilliantly put together tournament from start to finish Lou and a pleasure being a part of it.

Now less group hugging and back to work everyone, this economy isn't going to fix itself!!

    lvietri:

Disconnect Rule:   To keep this fun and not make it a chore - should a disconnect occur during the match - just restart and play the appropriate number of holes to make it a 9 hole match.  i.e should your match disconnect after 7 holes .. restart and play the first 1 holes again.  It's match play, not a scored round, and this is supposed to be enjoyable - not a chore.

Well, the ball is definitely in coolswing and iamcoola's court. Cyl and I made every effort, while at work, to play today. The agreed upon time was 230pm Eastern time. We got started at 330pm Eastern time. Cyl and I waited almost 30 minutes before first contact was made. Clarence and I can play between the hours of 830am-5pm Eastern time. If we cant come to some agreement in the upcoming week, we'll just have to be co-champions. And I agree, "this is supposed to be enjoyable - not a chore."

Do what you can boys, no time limit on when the match has to end ... we all know disconnects in WGT are an issue .. have been for a long time.   I'll decide and crown a champion if you can't get it finished based on where you are in the match .... after all this time and 62 other games ---  co-champions don't make sense --- especially with an open end to finish.

As you already know .... if you already played 7 holes .. start again on 1 and play until the 11th hole or when there is a winner ....

Keep it light ... and enjoyable ... not a chore .. but try to manage time zones as best you can.   We've all been there and it's hard with US, Germany and Australia players involved.

    Thanks Gents and good luck.

You're a good laugh Bart, you tell us that you can only play between work hours and you called that AN EFFORT !! ha you're a joke ! ppffff !

When we played our game the other day i logged on at 5:30am and waited until 7:00am to start our game and it was unfortunate that I got disconnected and keep in mind that i was looking after my little boy at the same time while we were playing so i just couldn't get back on and continue the game !!

Anyway after that I did write to everyone and apologized and ask that we try to schedule the game again and even made the suggestion that we restart the whole match again to be fair considering that we were 2 up after 5 holes !

I don't know why people like Bart even bother to enter these community tourney if they feel that they're the only one making such a "big effort" and it makes them feel it such a chore !! We have an unpleasant term for people like that here in Oz land but i won't bother to use it here because it just a waste of effort !!

    I rest my case !

Ok...how is it you are the one that is pissed here?  I really must have struck a nerve.  I can only tell you the facts of the day.  Facts were....we were there, on time, and ready to play.  Then for the next hour or so, we get the run-around.  Then, once the match does begin....it took us 40 minutes to play 7 holes.  Oh and yeah...you must have forgot the score....since we won hole #6 to cut the lead to 1 down.  Regardless, that's beside the point.  Point is, I don't see why you think you are justified here.  If given the window of time 8am-5pm Eastern time on Monday-Friday.....and you are told that I can play ANYTIME in those hours.....then how can this be our fault?  If the time that you two pciked didn't work well for you two.....then why pick it???  And the comment, "people like Bart" makes me laugh.  You can ask anyone that has played more than 7 holes with me about my character and personality.  But if someone rubs me the wrong way, I don't mind calling a spade a spade.  So as I said before, the ball is in your court, Coolswing and IMCoola.  You know the times that me and Clarence are available.

Lvietri.... Thanks for putting on a great tournament. It's been run very well and I appreciate it. I love playing in tournaments where the best compete, and that's certainly been the case in this tournament. I certainly hope that there's a sequel to this tournament. Have a great weekend. Bart
