we at the over6osfunflappers have had a major shake up , as a result of members joining just to take advantage of the WGT freebies,others earned and logged on daily and never played a single club event,,,
they have been cleared out, and left us with a solid base of 36 members who all play in most of our tournaments....our aim was to grow our club slowly and make sure the members were behind our club 100%,but made the mistake of taking new recruits at their word....
we are still going to run ' must play ' events that every new members will be aware of before they sign up to us..
our very top players are behind this ' new ' club we have 37 members and they are urged abd allowed to put ideas or suggestions, however crazy, such as a CTTH event using 1 club only .
the most important thing for a club to observe , is to make sure that all members tiers and levels are catered for., and although our club is small at the moment we find ways to even up the events eg .. all entries use starter clubs, in some of our events, andi it works, or a fair handicap system.
our very top players have all embraced this clubs' new' ethos .
we have the CC level that allows us to run 12 concurrent events , but when we could hardly got 12 members for 1 event, from then 50 members, but all that is changed, as a result of our co- owner 's message on the forum saying he was going to jack it in..
Cobrared was also going to start a new club, but as I founder of the flappers, asked him to hang back, until contact with our senior loyal members.
what ensued was a firestorm of support , for this hard working guy posted on the forum and persomal messages to his email address, and our boss got his ' new club called the' over 60s fun flappers ' yeah its srill the same name as before except the driftwood have been summarilly cleared from our club.
i also have noticed that we have rid ourselves of the +90 hacks amateurs pro and tour pros, as i am not too sure how players can have that sort of level and still be hacks.
the most ubfair thing about it is that these folks are playing with the best gearr and playing from the hack tees, eg driving par 4 greens with 3 iron [ nike forged
i can only ssume that our level 90+ hacks ams did not want to enter our events , as they do not want to lose THEIR HACK OR AMATEUR TIER perhaps
so could someone please explain why these anomolies occur, as this is the only game real or virtual where one can only really cheat ones self.
some folks like myself [ level 90 ]who have been ' newly promoted to legend tier are incurring major problems with the legend tees, are having trouble breaking par whereas, these level 95 hacks are breaking 60 or 30 with consumate ease..
we had a SECRET SANTA tournamat at xmas, and 2 members were willing to sponsor the event, but it was beholding on at least 12 entries per tier, now for the tag ,
the events would would have cateed r for 3 levels [ not tiers? ] , 0-50 51-80 and 81+ we got 7 in the top level 5 in the bottom,including at that time the sponsors who did not qualify for the prizes on offer.and 6 in the middle levels..
the added prize fund would have been 18,000 credits for EACH level , YEAH FOLKS THATS 54,000 CREDITS $540 bucks peed down the drain, and them sponsors are still members of this club
we have also decided to share the ownership of the flappers, with each ' owner ' taking responsibility for i monrh at a time, and every ' owner may have his personal input..
if you want to comreand join us ,our mock masters will begin on the 18th april with a minimum 5000 credits up for grabs., but the new rules of entering cumpulsory events must be met...we would also consider a merger with other smaller clubs , but again the flappers must play rules would apply
