    Hello all!

I'm a "miss the ding" putter and I need an advice. Except Rossa and Ghost, what putter should I buy/try?

Anyone have tried Ping Anser 2 (L72+)?

Is there any putter better than Starter for miss the ding putting style?

Thank you in advance and I'm waiting suggestions mostly from high level players with miss the ding style.

When I used it I considered it a ding putter. You could miss with it but it took bigger misses to get results and then the distance was affected. Played much better as a ding putter.

That 55 Rossa seems to be one of the most popular putters for a lot of long time players. They got used to how it misses and stayed with it. That should tell you something.  :-)

I have had the rossa for years and am a miss hit putter and I've rented all the new ones as they came out and wouldn't trade my rossa for nothing...just saying.

    Thank you all for suggestions.

As I said, I bought the Rossa twice since I've signed up on wgt and I wasn't able to used to it. Perhaps because the various greens of the courses, I don't know.

Anyway, I think fairground is right. Yesterday I rent Ping Anser 2, lvl 44 not 72 and I'm very pleased. I think it's the one. Altough they say it have the same features as Rossa, I don't think it have. I think forgiveness is somewhere around 1.5, not 2. Otherwise I can't explain why I have better games with it than with the Rossa.

    Thank you all again!

I switched to the Nike Method 001 after using TM Ghost putters for quite a while.

I feel like I mis-ding putt better with the Nike.

    Definition of miss ding?

Aim and miss a to hold the line or never move the aim marker and do it all by missing.  If the latter change to the former quickly.  After that use the saved credits and get a slightly better ball, than the starter, to slow the meter.  There really is nothing wrong with the putter you have.

Get your dist to the pin and 1 putts under some control, and then fine tune IMO.  Whatever is causing your stats (no offense) it ain't the putter you have.

Get rid of the hybrid and get another wedge. Learn every shot with your wedges so you can get closer to the pin. Jim is right ...nothing wrong with your putter... distance is crucial. A good putter should be around 50% one putts. Good Luck.

Not much to say but.....When and until legend I always tried to miss-ding in putts with small break and within 8 - 10 feet, all putts above that distance I always try to ding (distance wise). Since TL I only miss-ding the putts with small break within 2 feet!.

Why trying to ding all my putts now as TL?. By miss-ding the putt you always lose in distance, the more far from the ding the more lose of distance. so, but trying the ding I got the putt distance 90 or even 100% correct.

I use the putter pal available now. After seeing some top players using the feature I realize that it was easier to estimate the distance than trying to make math calculations (I'm not a math player). I see also hitting the ding with the putter as often as possible, you chances for great scores increases dramatically....I wish I could ding often my putts, but that is still something I struggle big time with.

I shall try a new putter with lower scale than 15, again, because I try to ding all the time.

    Eric
