From the verification page in the account section:

In the US we are unable to verify accounts in

    Arizona,
    Arkansas,
    Connecticut,
    Delaware,
    Florida,
    Iowa,
    Illinois,
    Louisiana,
    Maryland,
    Montana,
    South Carolina,
    South Dakota,
    Tennessee, or
    Vermont.

Internationally, we cannot verify accounts in Brazil, Argentina, the People's Republic of China, South Korea, Japan, or (c) any other jurisdiction that WGT excludes in its sole discretion.

That's 14 US states - more than 25%. By "and other", the international list may be endless...

    Is Denmark affected?

    LOL - me neither!

And, neither a German passport nor a German drivers license show the address. Plus, it's illegal and a potential fraud danger to copy the former. *shudders*

I have 2 current passports (dual citizenship Aussie and UK), and they won't be getting a copy of either.  Might change my stance if they ever demonstrated a clear benefit to me, but I see only a benefit for the company.

Hey J-Bog, wtf can they do wiv a scanned copy of ur passport. Mine expires in 6 months anyway.

For visa purposes here in Thailand I need a letter from my embassy stating where I live, so I sent a copy of that - harmless, and a photocopy of my Thai drivers license , because it has a photo that matches my passport- harmless.

I am in the same boat as Jim, dual nationality (same nationalities as Jim) but I have never seen a compelling argument as to why anyone should become verified unless you are capable of winning the top prizes, of which I am not.

Secondly I am not one for sending legal documents (or copies) to a company I really know little about, let alone a online gaming company . Sorry it is too easy to become a victim of identity fraud so the less distributed over the net the better.

I am all for weeding out multi accounters and cheats, but this level of privacy invasion is over the top IMHO. The irony is it has done little to prevent such occurrences.

And what for, another worthless tick against your name. No thanks.

Alan a blind monkey knows the cheats !!!

Has nothing to do with us giving up our Id's and making our accounts easy pickings

It was a noble idea , but so was Twitch, but one can't always be online at ones cafe
