read the full thread before you comment, i aint "cut " up about a flag, i was replying to another post, i was agreeing with the guy that wanted the Scottish flag for himself. and i may support an English team, fact is, it was owned by Irish (JP McManus) when i started supporting them, they are merely based in England.                                                                      im Irish and proud of it, im just forced to live under "British" rule..

    DanDare Quote from earlier:

(You "English" have to put up with the Union Jack as it is your flag. it is forced on every other country you lot colonise, im from Northern Ireland, but would not have an "English Flag" anywhere near me.)

Am i thick or does that not come across as you're a bit cut up about the flag????????

So am I, i'm Welsh, have my own flag, but get with the times mate, your war is over! Peace and love here, its a golf game for goddness sake! Bit late to change history now. Damn if only us welsh had stood up to King Edward in 13 century and stopped him making a ring of castles around our welsh stronghold. damn!

    i was joking joe....irish football's ok....Celtic are a decent team.

    Lol.. Celtic.  LMAO Tbe.

Seriously though guys. Calm down. Why not use your profile picture as a base for your national flag as I see another poster has done. At least until such time as WGT get round to including the flags. It might be best for all affected by this to send WGT an e-mail. If they get enough e-mails about it, they should do something. It is'nt that hard to add a few flags.

Beth is a B---h of a course. That's what I thought when I first started to play the game, but alas, the more times you play it, the easier it will become. Still pretty hard course, but it does get easier.

Just start to remember all the bad shots you are making and change things the nxt time you play it. The other thing you can do is not play the course at all until you get  better at  the  game :)

     cheers

    fotd:
Bethpage is a joke and designed to be playable only by these who have discovered how to cheat, distances to the hole, club hitting and green speed don’t count on this course.

One of the dumber statements I've read in quite sometime.  BPB is actually a pretty easy course for a lot of players.  The greens are relatively tame compared to Oakmont and Kiawah.

    fotd:
The clubs I have are as good as I can buy and the balls in use are the best I can get, even when I hit the shot perfect

Wrong again.  Raptures are the most inaccurate clubs other than starters in the game.  They also have a much lower trajectory than many others clubs making BPB challenging because you need loft to get it close.  Only LOFT you appear to carry is a serious Lack Of Fn Talent and experience.

Sorry for being harsh but unsubstantiated posts about cheating brings the hammer down from most players on this site who have spent countless hours learning the subtle nuances of each course we have.

If you can handle the meter, try the Ping g10s or i15s if you have obtained high enough level to purchase them.  I play the i15s which are the most precise available.  Even with those you'll still get some shots that leave you scratching your head but with much less frequency.

Listen to what Jake just said you cheat accusers, he's probably one of the highest earners in the game, and skillfull aswell and has earned the right to be top. SO it pis@es us all off people who havn't spent time learning the game calling the people who have CHEATS.  Most people wouldn't dream of calling people who are good cheats just because of jelousy.  Play a few more rounds then have a piece of humble pie, and that might give you the sweet taste you might need to kiss the @sses of the people you have been accusing of cheating when you've become a better player!

On top of only having a med/high trajectory rating, V2s are also shorter clubs.  For a 180-190 -yard shot, you have to use a V2 4-iron, whereas you can use a G10/i15 5-iron.  The fact that you have to use lower trajectory clubs all the time is a significant penalty.

Also, if there were an iron set with 5.0 spin, you could hit a longer iron and stop it on a dime, so spin helps too.  Spin is also another area in which the V2's are lackluster.  G10s and i15s have 3.0 spin, whereas V2s have only 2.0 spin.

Valid critique, though.  You can't stop the ball with V2s.  They'll make becoming a "pretty good" player rather easy, but they won't allow you to be a "great" player.  The lack of stopping power makes it literally impossible to excel with them.

The Raptures are more than OK with any greens other than Tourney, especially with the spin balls wgt now provide.Sure they will roll a tad more than G10s but you can adjust to that,,There are some awesome players on WGT who achieved that status with Raps,,Coolswing,,,Iconian,Moldehia,Are just a few,If you like the raps learn how they land and roll wind behind,,wind against they do almost the same as g10s,I have played Raps and G10s  and both deviate the I15s are the less deviate club,But you need to handle the meter obviously,,For sheer relaxation and fun you cant beat the raps in my opinion,If you are trying to be a top 50 player on wgt and haven't the time to really learn them then go for G10s :)

Valid critique, though.  Nobody's going to be winning any CTTH tournaments with V2s.  You can't stop the ball well enough... not even close to well enough.  They'll make becoming a "pretty good" player rather easy, but they won't allow you to be a "great" player.  The lack of stopping power makes it literally impossible to excel with them.

Wrong again.   GLADSTONESCREWER is probably the best CTTP player on the game and uses raptures.

Even if you want to claim the slower CTTH greens will stop V2s adequately (they won't), with 2.0 precision, CTTH with V2s is a crapshoot.  There is simply no avoiding that conclusion.

(I went back, however, and changed the original to remove the reference to CTTH.  I'd forgotten about the slower green speed, which does help to mitigate the V2 set's inability to stop the ball.)
