    Hello everybody,

when I was on Pro Tier, I played the "Ping Raputure V2 Pro 9.5 Driver" but the distance is too short for Master Tier.

Now on Master Tier I play with "Ping G10 Master 8.0 Driver" but the speedmeter is too fast for me.

All the other drivers for the higher levels in the Pro Shop have this fast speedmeter :-(

Will there be a driver which is similar to the "Ping Raputure V2 Pro 9.5 Driver" but with a higher distance?

    Thanks

    Kev

Excuse my bad englisch, but I don't write in english so often ;-)

Who knows... we may see a rapture driver rated 270+ in a couple of weeks, perhaps never.

What most players do to slow the meter is use GI balls, I'd recommend you GI2-D or GI2-S, depending on if you prefer extra distance or spin.

    Hope it helps!

You need to purchase a ball with more "feel".  This will slow your meter rate down by a 1/3.

Definitely....I use the G13s but you have the G13d as well, this will slow your meter down quite a bit over what you are using.

You can either play with clubs with a slower meter and less distance, or with clubs that go farther that have a faster meter...its that simple.

I suspect you won't ever see drivers that go 270+ with a slow meter...besides, it would hinder ball sales in the Pro Shop (smile).  One thing you might try is simply getting use to a faster meter...but that's hard if the rest of your clubs have a slower meter.  That's because you are constantly adjusting to different meter speeds each time you change clubs.  It helps with consistency to have clubs with similar meter speeds.

EDIT: I predict, If you ever see a 270+ slow meter driver, it will cost a fortune.

There's now the 2010 Rapture V2 driver which has great forgiveness, the same slow meter and 255 yards distance. This is the longest distance driver for the meter speed. If you have a decent iron set you should be OK with it.

The Pro rapture driver was always 255 yards I'm not sure what the difference between the new version and the one I owned when I was a pro. But from the master tees 255 is just too short. Some of the longer par 4's  aren't even reachable with a 3 wood if you use the Rapture driver. it is 2 clubs or more short of the better drivers and that means a lot in scoring potential.

But think of the money you would save being able to play with the Tour-SD balls over the higher priced GI balls.

To actually factor in balls, WGT would need to come up with some sort of a calculator to consider all the possibilities...OK, OK, 50 credits, if need be, to access the thing.  Mean while I'll get out my old trusty desktop calculator and get back to you in 2 or 3 months (smile).

Maybe Yancy will come up with a Tutorial that most of us can understand...along with a user friend device all of us can use; in beta form of course.

Hello - my name is Yancy.

I have spent the better part of a few days and such crunchin numbers and running me algorithms and whatnots in hopes of finding a way to match a driver to a specificable wgt golf ball while at the same time having a swing meter that fits your skills sets and such. Now, I am just a common man but I did get some intriguing resultables.
