With heavy heart, we at Grande Oaks will be playing The Rex Carr Memorial Tournament very soon.

Rex was one of our best and bravest members.  What he had to face each morning just to get out of bed was truly remarkable.  After a high voltage accident, Rex lost all of him limps and played this very difficult game with a prosthetic arm.  However, he was a "bad ass" long before mastering WGT.  In his 12 years of school, this man never missed a single day!  He was something else indeed!

Thank you to WGT for having a public forum so that we at GOGC can share both our pain but also let all WGT members know just a little bit about this strong, sincere man that we first knew as Bengolfinace, later as Rex and now eternally as friend.  RIP Rex.

I didn't know the man, but the post reads like he was a remarkably strong willed individual.

If you plan on a commemoratve/memorial tournament involving other clubs in his name, we at the Fair Play GC would be honoured to play in it.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.  Think of your friend as you play in his honor, and always remember him when ever you tee it up.  R I P. Rex.

Condolences to Rex's family and friends.

I did not know him but did sound a remarkable person.

There are a lot of players I have come across who have had disabilities of one sort or another, and for many WGT has offered them a bright spot in their day. So thank you WGT, a great game for everyone.

A great way to honour Rex by having a tournament dedicated to him. RIP.
